Yeah you had the green pheno huh. Mine was lavender pheno I think and it was great. Loved it.
So the 4x zublu I popped with my teeth are sending out the root. The 4x 'blue apple syrup' (Apple cider kush x blue glue) have popped also. I'm trying another vertical germination.
All the ones I showed pictures of, broke the soil surface after one night in the solo cups. So hopefully it's as easy as them.
Here they are today. The one last one is breaking the soil now.

Thx everyone for germination teks
Here's today in other tent

Been vegging for about 7 weeks. No sign of sex for the island chill and Sour diesel. I want to add trellis but not until I know th sex. The 2 mainlined LMFAO(cereal milk x omfg) are kinda sensitive. They look like they had to much light. I moved them around and I hope they get better. They are growing slower. I hope it's not to much nutes in soil. From the earthdust and transplant. Idk. Well see if they snap out of it. I want to flip them but I want clones too.
Should I flip or wait?

It wasn’t anything special early on but I tried some yesterday and a few months in the jar made a huge difference. Smell, flavor and potency were off the charts. Very strong sweet orange/pineapple scent now.

Thanks man. 1 ACK buds are developing a tad faster than the rest (1st closeup pic). I look forward to the TD's in the next couple weeks. I haven't forgotten your request about what they are smelling like. I'm just terrible at descriptions, in that area. I've been meaning to have a friend with a better nose do that for me. Soon

Congratulations.!! If there's anything you need, ask most of us on here. I know a lil. Others know a lot. Make sure you water with a good ph level. Learn to tell when they need water and when they don't. That's my easiest thing to mess up is overwatering. Then the ph gets messed up and the plants get sick. You got this. Message me if you have any questions and I'll try to help or point you in right direction

I find there's a steeper learning curve with cannabis than fungus cult. Don't get discouraged if you don't nail it the first time, it's a hobby with a lot of nuance and room for "educational failure."
Don't go wasting money on new seeds if your plants don't make it, you've got plenty of friends here in the thread

i've always said mushrooms are easier. and here's my reasoning...
with fungus you basically either get fruits or you dont. and theres not a whole lot you can do to affect the actual quality/potency of the fruits. all your actions mainly effect yield. so a shitty grower might just get a lil bit of something cool.
ganja on the other hand has thousands of ways you can fuck it up and end up with bunch of shit that aint worth toking on and might be okay for edibles. your actions with weed impacts quality before it affects yield, i believe.
not that either are difficult to grow. they're just both easy to fuck up in their own right.

The ceiling on cannabis growing is so high compared to shrooms. You could invest 10k and years of practice and still not be competing with the best. In retrospect, most people are probably better off just buying bud if they only intend to grow for themselves. The time, money and legal risk is a serious investment compared to just picking up ounces. You can become a dealer and smoke for free with almost zero effort, but a grower has to give up a lot. I honestly wouldn't be doing it if it didn't generate income. And even then I wanna quit when it comes time to trim.

I disagree. I started growing for myself by rigging up curly cfl lights in a hollowed out dresser and venting it with axial fans and a home made carbon filter. I could pull 4+ ounces a run in a 14x22x30" space using scrog. The first harvest completely negated the cost of all materials involved including the power bill.
It can be extremely frustrating but it's also like hunting and fishing in that the equipment investment knows no ceiling, but you can do just as good as a person with 10k in gear with used and jerry rigged gear. What it comes down to is investing time in research and learning from mistakes.
The basics you absolutely need (no exceptions) in a grow are tent/cab/room, light, extraction fan, circulation fan. After that it's medium of choice, and soil is best for beginners. I also recommend a carbon filter for your extraction fan, pot gets STINKY when growing.

Yea but the quality of that first grow and every grow since is still lower than what you can get from the top shelf black market. I only smoke an oz per month and can get that for 150-200. That's like a day's work, compared to daily maintenance to grow it. Sure you can make the grow pay for itself and if you grow more than you smoke then maybe you can sell it. But without babying it every day, no one's going to want to pay for homegrown when Cali is in town. So there's never ending pressure to invest and research to compete with the market. If you can break in with some smelly mids then it can be profitable, that's where I'm at. But the dankest of dank is still eluding my every effort.
Besides time and money, the legal risk is what really sucks. Can't be sloppy with home security, gotta practice opsec and think about who knows. If you start dealing, basically everyone knows, so you gotta think about what you tell them like when you're home or how much money you have. Can't get too wasted. Can't have any guests over that aren't totally trustworthy. Friends betray you and you gotta turn the other cheek so they don't rat or rob you. Gotta end all relationships cordially, even if they deserve vengeance. If you do get taken advantage of, can't call the police. It's much more to think about compared to a monotub you can just slide under your bed.

Me and the wife can easily go thru two oz a month without effort that gets expensive year after year I’d rather invest that money into my own product if I can.
Maybe recoup the investment on the sly but I’m trying to save 300-400 a month here

Many of us have good stuff but how long you been growing and how much money and time you think you've spent on it? Did you expect that when you started? That's all I'm saying, a newbie should think hard about where this hobby can go before diving too deep.
I feel like a lot of people buy their first seeds and see the picture or stats expecting to get the same thing they see, like it's growing tomatoes or something.

I've had many people that regularly smoke my homegrown tell me they wanna grow themselves. I've offered every one of them my help start to finish. 9/10 get discouraged with the investment or think it is more complicated than it is. Growing my own has allowed me to quit the kitchen life and I've never been happier doing something I love to pay the rent

This. If I knew then what I know now. I've spent countless hours and thousands of dollars to set up a "profitable" grow... Instead I wish I'd spent half of that and just kept it personal, easy, and minimized. Hindsight and all. Like mushboy, my partner and I can smoke abt 2oz/month. In this area that's 400 more or less. I don't make enough to support so I thought, why not, grow for me and a bit more to "share" and end up at a meager profit. But fuck that was a lot of money/time/research to get there. Now I jus wanna dim my light to half power ND grow jus enough perpetually for myself and no more. After operating and initial investment I'll take the 50$ power bill and a few bucks here and there on soil and amendments, over all else. But I could have done that in a much better way. So def for a newb know your expectations and needs, a shoot low and you can always expand after. Mush cult is so much simpler

I told him they were in coco coir and he was going to have to feed them. He didn’t feed them… ever. Tried to flower them and they died, and on top of that dude never got my people their cuttings! Total piece of shit… I couldn’t believe it! Dude was saying he ran an operation in Oklahoma and didn’t even know how to root a cutting!!!! Omg! Der der der
