I would suggest getting one of those plastic panels for the bottom of your chair like they have in offices that are carpeted. Easy to move around and not tear up the floor.
Mine work great. Also the more you roll around in it that material will get more caught up in the wheels in deeper into the floor.

Might I suggest a pack of laminate flooring planks too use as a floor matt, usually available between $20-40 depending on the style. Best chair matt you can get!

I love my tempered glass floor mat. Much nicer than the laminate floor option, but you pay for it.

Another option would be to upgrade the chair wheels with inline skate wheels.

Just when I thought the shroomery couldn't possibly get any nerdier, you blow it completely out of the water.
Also, I'm doing this to my next chair.

Why am I wondering what that would be like in a skate park?
I'm getting too old to hurt myself doing something like that though

Finally found a cheap case of the 60mm petris in the US. Cost less than half the price of the 90/100mm petri dishes.

I have the roller blade wheels on my chair and a tempered glass floor protector in my home office. My home office is carpeted. It’s a very luxurious experience.

while were flexing our chairs in here...
I have a herman miller embody
it doesn't have roller blade wheels though
I have seen them before and thought they were cool, never pulled the trigger on them for older chairs

I'm a stander too, I find it fascinating that there's this divergence in preferences.
A chair probably wouldn't work for me, anyway, it would just end up getting taken over by a cat.
