Polyfill is worse than corona masks. Replaced like 400 jars with polyfill, and most of them contam after 5 days post PC.
There was micropore tap top and bottom, with polyfill between, and the filters did not hold up.
Surprised, because this polyfill method is cited in at least one published book on how to grow cubensis bulk
What did I do wrong?
Going back to double corona masks, one top one bottom, taped or micropore tape.

Well I have also been using polyfill knots in my lids with high contam rates. Switched to SFDs today and Iβm hoping I see improvement.

Never had problems with polyfill. Maybe you just didn't snugg it in tight enough

Maybe try unmodified lids before you figure out what the best filter is. I only do unmod and it's totally fine, just gotta loosen them a bit once there's enough myc to have consumed all available oxygen.

polyfill always felt way to time consuming to put in tight,
me and my buddies spent a good two hours on 2 dozen jars, high but still
ez felt, unmodded or sfds were always the easiest
if cost isn't an issue there are sfds that come in a small enough circumference to be properly silicone fit to a jar, no cutting a bunch of small circles

If you are lazy, they don't even have to be circles.
    
Edit: Don't judge the grain/spawn too harshly. It was my very first grow. I'm still using the same lids, though.
