Yeah, I was going to say that I use mushroom material as my silicagel, and jam it in there as tightly as I can pack it. I'm also eventually just grinding it up, at which point I'll be heating and venting the jars multiple times to create redundancies. So I can really cram my jars full, no need to look pretty....

We got germination 🙌🏻. I’ve hade some old spore syringes I needed to use, and so far I’ve used up Ecuador which I have a grow log going. These full quart jars are Hard Winter Wheat Berries with the Menace variety.

Honestly if you just throw the cracker dry shrooms in the jars and seal them immediately, there's no need for the packs. I've had shrooms keep that way for 2+ years and believe me they still work fine.

Only if you fart in it first.
There's often not enough moisture in the air to make a difference unless there's only an eighth in a quart. I do this method in the wet ass PNW and it works dandy.

Super-noob photo here. I finally fucking did it! At least this looks right to me. Also, I have 14 of these jars, but started half of them 3 days later. Can I wait and birth/dunk all of the on the same day, or will that leave the first set in the jars too long? Also, those of you posting large tubs of mushrooms, what do you do with them all? Like how long will something like that last you? How often do you grow a whole tub?

I've been compressing the substrate in all tubs and making the surface as levelled and straight as my eyes allow In this one, I decided to do the exact opposite...

Welcome to the shroomeritics and congrats on your pregnancy! When you judge them as 100% colonized let them consolidate for a week, then dunk and roll them in verm or coir - you can check the link in my signature. These guys are a bunch of dealers; except me, I have a large family to feed with fungi Properly stored, in jars with desicant, they will last you years... but you'll always grow more than you can eat! So spread the magic around

I'm not a dealer either. I just grow for my own consumption. I dehydrate mine for 24hrs at 150f. Then I vacuum seal them with an O2 absorber and desiccant pack and put them in an air tight container in the dark. Some I'll powder up and make capsules and they get stored the same but in doses. After I hit a good supply I stop everything. When I get low I'll start again.

you will most likely get more sidepins that way (i do). but the shoeboxes i did without leveling or compression fruited just as fine as the others .
