They will pull moisture out of the air starting the second you take them out, so unless you're storing them in mason jars with a lid that has an air tight gasket they are going to get bendy again, and that includes ziplocks.
Some people use a food saver to seal them in bags for long term storage. I'm a jar dork myself.
They were in an airtight jar with gasket and silica packet. I think I just didn't run them in the dehydrator long enough.

Toss your silica packs in your dehydrator with the mushrooms for the last 30min before sealing. They suck moisture from the air while sitting around.

Great tip thank you! I did throw it in the dryer for a little while but I'll do the dehydrator next, that makes sense.

Not quite as spotty 2nd flush from another bottle I should have re-cased.
You guys think the shinny spots on the gills are spores or moisture?

You sure itβs Melmak?
Iβve never seen them drop prints or have rust spores so the odds of getting both have gotta be slim.

Yes sir positive it's reverted melmac but definitely melmac I got the original swab from peligroso(I believe his name was) the original keeper of the genetics and the one that passed them around here years ago. Several other people also ended up with normal looking fruit and one was asking if others were also able to print there Melmac. My genetics never really displayed the penis pheno though so I never tried to pass them on. I did manage to get prints from the original but they were very light almost non existent. They have become easier to print over time. I posted the original cake this culture came from it happened to have 2 Lucy fruits and I cloned them and they ended up having brown spores. Not even rust colored as far as I can tell but dark brown spores. I posted asking questions about it in cult gen discussion yesterday and today but haven't gotten any responses. I think it could be an accidental cross of melmac and RW or GH. I'm confident it wasn't a labeling mix up or anything like that though.
Edit: also I think I should add this is my 3rd generation of growing these melmac reverts but the first time I have gotten anything besides giant gold capped fruit. They are still giants but now Lucy with brown/rust spores. It's weird and I can't explain it at all. Only speculate.
Edit 2: realized I'm in the pic thread sorry for all the discussion. Here the tub these prints came from.

Oh snap, thanks for the tip!
I never use them in mushroom jars, but I use them in lots of other storage bins cause PNW.

Honestly if you just throw the cracker dry shrooms in the jars and seal them immediately, there's no need for the packs. I've had shrooms keep that way for 2+ years and believe me they still work fine.

If yall are gonna do this you need to make sure the jar is a perfect fit for the amount of mushrooms you want to store. Too much space in the jar means air is in there which also means moisture. Silica gel packs arecheap on ebay and i think its deffs worth it but each to their own
