Sterile Prints

Hi, I've always wondered about this so I'll ask you guys. Ok, in your fruiting chamber, since the substrate is fully colonized and can defend itself against contamination, your fruiting chamber is never really 100% contamination free right? So how do you go about taking a shroom out of there and making a completely sterile print from it?

As you said, the fully colonized substrate can protect itself, so can the fruit body. The spore gills are protected by the veil until its ready for dropage.

This is why you print just after the veil breaks. Contams in your fruiting box are unlikely to reach the gills before you print, unless you have flies or massive lumps of contams.

Remember, print onto a sterile surface and cover while printing.
