Nice dongz Prints! Almost as big as mine! And nice graveyard fruits SoAnyway! I like the red tone on the caps!
Pic tax:
My light isn't overhead and it might be making them grow sideways. Not sure if I have the right pheno yet... FP+
Also, when did the pic tax start? because it's not in the OP. Should I feel bad for making comments/questions without a pic of my own?

According to Adas they do, and he has been growing them indoors and out for a while now. I haven't tried yet - will see next year once winter is over I guess.

Damn, I think I am the only one who takes like 1mm x 1mm tiny tissue sample for transferring ^^ you all use such big chunks. Is there a reason behind using bigger agar wedges when transferring or is it just how someone floats his boat?

I used to use a 1/4" punch but I realized after a lot of "random" bacteria contaminating my plates that it forced my hand over open plates.
Switched back to scalpel and I just cut w/e is easy. For A2G I do some pretty big triangles though.

Yeah for A2G for sure, I make like a Venn-diagram for that. I just notice wen I do A2A I take tiny sample compared to the most. I just thought maybe there would be a benefit in taking bigger samples to transfer. I am just always afraid that way I would take more variety than when transferring a smaller piece^^

reposting this here because this subthread was the one that helped me the most
well ; i'm felling great today
11 years to the day ! 11/11/11 to 11/11/22 ;what a great fucking ride
i still remember the faces of people when i told them i wanted to grow mushrooms , ha they thought i was fucking crazy and now i make a very good living of my mushies , the goal was fucking reached and moving forward
after years and years of frustation and contamination i can say i mastered growing cubes ( and still trying to master specialties ) , amazing how experience brings you to the simplest of teks and then you don't look back
anybody wanna ask anything go ahead
THANK YOU SHROOMERY !

Soooooo ..... I thought I'd be all lazy and what not and when I did my last pasteurization run I decided to turn the steam cavity off at 2 hours and at 150f, leave my bulk substrate inside and go to bed for the night. Weeeeeeellllll ...... do ya know what I ended up with? Yea, that's right, sterilized substrate instead of pasteurized substrate. How do I know this???? I'm losing tubs to trich prior to full colonization (which won't happen with properly pasteurized substrate). Hell, my double reflectix insulated steam chamber was still 145f when I woke up the next morning. So, the lesson for me here is DON'T BE A LAZY ASS. It's 155f for two hours ...... no more ..... no less and sure as shit not 9 hours over night. DOH!
