Both the original 1990-1991 collection as well as the 2001 collection , all specimens were never taller than 3 inches. Some of these fellows were 4-5 inches and large round caps with umbos.
These last few days I have been observing tall speimens in tall grasses in a manner similar to blue ringers inthe PNW where when the grass is mowed continuously the shrooms are as short as the grass and when the grass is left to grow above 8 inches or more the blue ringers are taller.
Here area few few of the morning's pick of Samuiensis. I just spent another three hours renting computers to post these, resize them and burn a cd.
Those are lookin pretty nice. Its cool how there are places all around the world where not just one but multiple species of psilocybin containing shroom grow right in amongst each other!
MJ I had a question for you, you might have already answered it elswhere in the forums but I haven't seen the answer...what is it you are actually doing in Thailand? I know you're shroom hunting and IDing and somehow affiliated with the university there, but do you have a specific goal / job to do over there? Like are you trying to find some new species or are you just goin with the flow and doing any general shroom related thing?
