Found in fields that have horses and cows around - in the grassy areas. Well known areas for Liberty caps and other shrooms Got some that are clearly Liberty caps but some others I’m not sure are psychedelic or not Would be very grateful for help here Thanks

Thank you! We thought as much, good to be confirmed ;-)
We went back out and got some more today after looking at a lot of pictures posted on this forum and got a good bunch more, including a darker slippery nipple type that we previously ignored that looks like these also are liberties - do you mind looking at these ones too?
What defines the Liberty caps mostly? Is it the pointy bit at the top, the shape and the dark rim? We kept find some that are like satellite dish shaped but with similar colours that are questionable - like the one stuck to my thumb

look to be 99% libs. few imposters in there, take a look at the gills note how libs gills gow upwards and arent flush with the bottom of the cap. if flush with bottom of the cap deconica or protostropharia particularly if growing FROM dung. 3rd pic 5th down on the far right row(may just be the angle of the pic) and maybe the first pic first line 1 looks tiny bit questionable.
anyhoo wait for experts TIs and perhaps take a photo of the ones that are questionable. but for now looking like nice find with vast majority if not all libs!

Hey guys We went out on another hunt and came back with another 120-odd to sift through. Pretty sure we only picked the right ones but we found a few imposters we ended up throwing away I wonder if anyone here would kindly cast a quick eye over these and help us out? I do have a question regarding at least 3 of these - will put a pic of them on their own, I wondered about the formation of the gills and the tip as they appeared the same as the rest but no prominent nipple and subtle difference in the gills
Thanks all ✌️

Nice one Duggstar What do you think of those three on their own post? How can I check that for future reference? I mean the rounded head and slightly different gills? Thanks

Psilocybe semilanceata have gills that are narrowly attached to the stem. In other words they're only attached at the very top. They almost look like they're free from the stem, but they're not. It might help you to see the attachment if you slice one vertically down the middle. Most of the lookalikes, such as Protostropharia and Deconica sp., have gills that are more broadly attached, or attached at almost right angles, in layman's terms, to the stem. Don't worry too much about whether they have a nipple (papilla) or not. It's a common feature, but not all of them have it. I would estimate that probably about 5-10% of them don't have a nipple. As long as all the other features match, they're Psilocybe semilanceata.

Thank you mate Good input, much appreciated With that in mind, what is your opinion on the ones below? We grabbed a load more yesterday and collected more than 100, most of which I’m very confident with but as pictured below there’s a few that are quite rounded, more open that we found in same places/nearby and it’s the openness and roundedness of them that throws us off, yet they display similar but slightly paler and wider gills, same stem, and even the rings around the stem plus often the nipple but also not always with nipple
We’ve also got one really big boy that looks amazing, but has no nipple at all, it had a bruised stem massive cap, with very very dark spores, like it’s very old one
I’d be very grateful for your opinion on these types as they look so similar and I’m thinking that they area different type but I don’t want to get it wrong. Just seems to me that they sometimes open up or at different stages of development TIA
