salt the green mould, next dunking?
    #28033922 - 11/05/22 07:36 AM (2 years, 2 months ago)

After the first flush I spotted a small patch of Trichoderma mould on the vermiculite surface in my cake.

I spooned it out and treated the wound by salt. Now I have mature fruits and the mould seems to be not growing anymore (atleast not rapidly)

My question is what to do next after the harvest? Should I dunk the cake? Remove the salt and after dunking put a new pile to the hole? Or?? What do you think?

I dont know if dunking doesnt trigger the more or less dormant mould to start growing again and far more rapidly...

Thanks.

After harvesting the mature fruits, I would throw the cake out. Salt doesn’t get rid of the trichoderma.
