Freaking roaches

So I'm in the middle of my second flush, and I go to do the final harvest and I find a cockroach staring at me from one of my tubs in my chamber. Pretty sure it's an American cockroach (aka palmetto bug).
I think it had ate some of one of the fruits, and I think it had done the same on the last batch I picked 2 days ago.
Is my crop ruined? Are these shrooms no longer safe?

Was it in or on the tub? If on the tub I wouldn't worry. If inside I wouldn't probably worry either.
Cockroaches are the nightguards for my grow. The other night I checked on my tubs and found 5 of them chilling in that room.
You gotta make friends with them.
Edit: If you are really concerned because google tells you about them spreading salmonella or something, just make tea from the fruits for peace of mind.

It was in the tub on the substrate.
And yeah no I'm sick of the damn things. See maybe 1 or 2 a week but they send me in to a blind rage.

Also I really don't know, I currently have them drying other than the one the thing was munching on. I just don't know if just washing them off and drying is enough for them to be "food safe"

If it wasn't safe to eat something a roach nibbled on then everyone from New jersey to Boston would be completely fucked. You'll be fine. Roaches are just glorified crickets.

Cockroaches pretty much crawl over everything when we sleep anyway.

Roaches eating shrooms, that's a new one for me. The fruits are fine, especially if you are drying them, but they might bring in contams if they are coming from outside into your tubs. Roaches are actually known as one of the cleanest insects but mold spores and bacteria are pretty tiny, so...
There aren't roaches where I currently live, but they were everywhere where I grew up. I kept some as pets in a small terrarium for awhile. My dad's girlfriend at the time hated them and thought I was a weird ass little kid, which I was. I actually had some hissing roaches a few years back too, but they all died...those are pretty cool, I kind of miss them.

Commercial pest services use stuff like that, the smear it in crevices where the little fuckers like to hide/live

I hate them

Well I believe it was an American cockroach, and quote "Outdoors, they tend to eat decaying leaves, fungi, algae and small insects" from https://www.pestworld.org/pest-guide/cockroaches/american-cockroaches/
I mostly find them outside, and I occasionally see them in my house when temperatures change or when there's lots of rain or a storm. Annoying little f*cks and I hate them. Luckily I rarely see adults but still. Considering they like fungi, it makes sense they would try to take a chunk of my shoorms. Either way the couple of spots I saw that where nibbled where not super big and brused blue. Considering that what we're after is a kind of defense mechanism, I'd say they stopped muching fairly quickly but I've never had this happen before
