Outdoor grow in the spring

Howdy guys. So I'm planning an outdoor psilocybe cubensis grow, next spring when it warms up. I'm not a noob. I've grown indoors in the past. But I'm no longer in a position to grow where I live(even tho I'm 25yo my folks don't want me growing till it's decriminalized here in California, which I understand). So here's my plan, I'm gonna noc' up and colonize my jars here. Then once they finish, I will have a bed ready to shred to bulk. I already have a good spot in very dense and dark forest that gets minimal light. I live in Northern California way up in the mountains. I'm gonna use Moe's outdoor tek to guide me. Really hope I will have some success guys. I need my medicine, can't afford to spend money on shrooms. They help me in more ways than I can express. I have enough to get me threw the winter very thankful for that. Any tips are much appreciated guys. If any of you guys have been in my position or have any successful outdoor grows under your belt I'd love to hear. Thank you guys in advance

I friend once told me that growing shrooms on public land is a great method of finding out how many people know how to recognise them. That is they all just seem to vanish.

Dude you don't know my situation or my family's.. you can Fu** right off with your judgemental statements. I'm not even gonna waste my time trying to prove anything to you. So what if I still live at home with my family. Lots of people do. Especially in a small mountain town. It's called having a family homestead. Also I did have my own place... But a life changing accident brought me back home..... Before you judge someone think twice, you don't know my story.... Seriously

Im lucky enough to live in a very remote area in the mountains. Nobody knows these woods like I do. The spot I have in mind is way out in the forest. I live off of a dirt road and have hundreds of thousands of acres of land beyond my yard, Soo I'm sure it won't be found lol. Also I'm a little experienced with guerilla grows... Anyways I'm just worried about contamination, although I've heard its not that big of a problem when fruiting outdoors. I just need some advice from the veteran outdoor growers, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about growing outdoors before spring gets here.

Yeah contam may be more likely outdoor, but if you build you beds well they could become self sustaining. You'll also have more critters sampling your mush.
good luck, seems like you have a plan, let us know how it goes.

I have one out back. Just a hole with 5kg of substrate in it + spawn, it seems to be slowly colonizing the whole 5kgs however I'll come out daily and always grab a few new ones which have popped up over night.
I'll give it a spray with the hose every couple of days unless it's been raining. I seems to prefer it over the monotubs it's low effort and I don't need mass amounts of shrooms.

Will do! Il def be posting pics in the spring. Also I'm thinking I'm gonna put some kind of protective screen over my bed, and that should help with critters. I'm thinking I'm going to spray the perimeter with neem oil and that should keep most of the bugs away! Can't wait I'm excited.

I can't wait to get my beds going. I'm going to be experimenting with large/small beds and see what does best.. another thing I'm excited about from what I've been seeing is the way mushrooms grow outdoors. They seem to grow much more hardy with a much thicker stem and bigger caps..

Mmm the stems and caps can be big and thick but they have never come close to any of my monotub grows.
