Newbie monotub questions

So I've been pretty successful using pf tek but I'm not super knowledgeable about monotub tek. I ordered a kit to try it out and I'm using a grain spawn bag to inoculate. The kit I come with comes with a casing mix of verm and coir which is non nutritious. I've been kinda confused about if I should buy something like a manure substrate to mix with the colonized spawn bag when I put it into the monotub and let that get colonized as well is that setting myself up for contamination and just use the casing mix to keep up water retention or whatever. I've read a few walkthroughs and what not but I figured it'd be easier to get a straight answer to what I'm looking for this way thanks so much

if you want to grow bulk you need to learn agar and avoid kits. i recommend doing a PF grow and learning to clone fruits on agar. substrate prep and volume and all that is still way down the line, check in when you have good grain spawn
since you already bought the kit go ahead and send it, why not? but dont get your hopes up

I guess my question was am I adding colonized substrate to more substrate to further colonize and increase yields or just fruiting my spawn bag when it comes to monotub. I don't have the time to get too into making all my own stuff so I just rely on pre mades which so far hasn't let me down I just wanted to try something other than pf tek. Most of the guides people are using their own mixes and what not so it gets kinda confusing when you just get everything premade for you.

you mix colonized spawn with substrate. the substrate doesnt need to be nutritious, no need to add anything, coir is fine on its own
just be aware that bulk growing with kits is a crapshoot. i literally just started a thread just to compile all the failures

Everything changes when it comes to grain. Injecting a spore syringe to grain will always introduce some amount of contamination to it. Then when you break up that grain bag, IF it even colonizes all the way, you'll then spread that contamination all through the substrate where it will grow almost exponentially. Adding uncolonized manure to that equation is a recipe for disaster.
Grains really have to be inoculated with an axenic culture grown on agar. Even then it still takes a bunch of practice.

just adding that even if OPs kit comes with LC, its still a crapshoot
