Using PLA as a substrate

SWIM had an interesting idea today. Since, psilocybe c. can digest oil based plastics and corn, in theory it should be able to digest PLA plastic. Has anyone tried using PLA as substrate? SWIM might give it a try. Also PLA holds water pretty well so that might give it a chance of working.

We're all up to the same no good around here. 'SWIM' will not hold up in court and it's annoying AF to read.
I don't know what PLA is, but I'm not sure why you would want to use plastic as a substrate anyway. I'd suggest you learn the ropes before you go reinventing the wheel welcome to the forum!

you fuckers.... haha
-------------------- Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

the experiment youre referring to proved mycelium can digest PLAs, not that it was a good substrate for them. they had to mix other things in so the myc could grow
