Copelandias I think??? Help!
    #2802826 - 06/17/04 05:35 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Check out these pictures, I think they are copelandia Cyanescens. They are from the texas gulf coast south of houston. The only problem is that they didn't have any blue bruising reaction. They are white almost silver in the cap and the stems are white and get mushy after handeling them too much. The gills have a gray color and I dont have a spore print yet. The were found in a pasture on what looked something like horse shit. I also found a few cubensis out there so if you are in the houston galveston area, now is a good time!

they look like copes. Give them a few hours to bruise to be safe though.

Nope. Those are the non-active Panaeolus antillarum.

Hey. If there was no bluing then I'd be inlclined to say it was some kind of Pan. mushroom...maybe a panaeolus campanulatus. Unfortunatly the spore print would be black either way. But this is a guess. good luck

I end up with those all the time, the stem don't turn blue. They are non-active like has been said.
