I really don't know what you're trying to say with all that rambling.
There's more freedom to express your opinion on Twitter now than there is on Facebook, YouTube, and other mainstream social media apps. That's the bottom line.
Don't believe it? Look at the kinds of things the other apps (and previously Twitter) censored. I've been complaining about it for a long time, but the response has always been something along the lines of "DURRRRR! BUT CENSORSHIP MEANS FREEDOM OF SPEECH!" I understand the argument, but now Twitter has less censorship
It's weird that Elon Musk is being criticized for that.

You don't like it then don't use it. It's that simple.
Faceback, nah. Twitter, nope. Youtube? Sure. Because YT is pretty good wrt watching videos, listening to music, and learning certain things.

Twitter's new head of moderation and safety resigned today, along with several other top executives, including the chief information security officer and chief privacy officer, leaving Musk's moderation, safety, and security teams in disarray.
The FTC also announced their "deep concerns" with Twitter, fearing that Twitter would no longer be able to comply with a legal order (reinstated this year) to ensure data protection and security after breaches in 2011. This has the potential to open Twitter to hundreds of millions of dollars, if not billions, in fines from the federal government for noncompliance. Facebook got hit with a $5B last year for data privacy noncompliance.
All three resigning executives were on the FTC's compliance board.
European regulators are also starting to take notice, as Twitter may now be in violation of the GDPR.
Without a head of compliance, engineers and employees themselves have to sign off on security certificates, putting them in personal legal risk.

Also, a parody account of Biden was brought to Elon Musk's attention, to which Elon Musk responded with two laughing crying emojis, and the account stayed up for hours before being banned.
Seems that the enforcement of Twitter's new rules is a bit...selective.

People are starting to impersonate major corporations like Eli Lilly. I wonder how willing those companies will be to pay Twitter for advertising?

More likely it leaves his ability to figure out how Twitter was working with the Government in disarray.

Once again, it's Twitter policy NOT to allow impersonators, so I'm not sure where you're going with this.

Businesses are not the government. They don't care about policy, they care about results. Especially when the policy seems to be subject to the whims of King Elon that day.
If the result is being associated with trolls and whatever crawls out of the remains of 4chan...Twitter gon' die.
And then Musk will be paying billions of dollars in fines to the government, because he is now committing crimes in multiple jurisdictions by not having a senior compliance executive.

Shitting on Trump was fun, but when one shits on Elon, there's enough feedback to deduce that Elon himself almost certainly personally read your tweet making fun of him.
You can just imagine him sitting in his little house in his underwear, getting mighty steamed.

I think the reason Elon Musk taking over Twitter was so newsworthy is because he brought back free speech for a lot of people who were previously censored from social media for of their political views, not because he was going to overtake himself as the richest person in the world.

You are making shit up to justify some nonsensical arguments about twitter. It is censorship when it suits you then it isn't when it suits you.
Can you explain, or is this just another "You're a big fat poo poo head" comment?
My opinion of Elon Musk has dropped immensely in the last couple years, but I do commend him for keeping Trump off Twitter until at least after the elections. His stockholders hate him, but he did seem concerned about democracy on this one, probably.
It's a strange situation, that couldn't really have been predicted before the election results. The Democrats would have done even better if Trump had unlimited access to communicate.

You are allowed to impersonate unless you say it’s a parody account but only if you aren’t parodying Elon Musk. Even if you say parody you will get banned if you impersonate musk. Free speech absolutism is weird

Glenn Greenwald used to hate Aaron Rupar but now that you can be anyone you want to be on Twitter...

The total breakdown of safety and security at Twitter is a sight to behold and most of the people responsible for fixing this mess quit yesterday
