So, five days ago this cake looked in a bad way, with a good portion of the surface matted, and was almost giving up. I misted some (about twice a day) to help with the dryness. Pins appeared. The first pin have been growing, and new pins have appeared. It continues to look dry af when I leave it for 8-12 hours (latest picture this morning), so I have continued misting. Should I continue misting the cake, or do only walls and lid?
Here's the progress, with and without flash.

if it is a dry, then mist it appropriately I would say personally
especially if it responds positively to that, as yours seemed to
when you hit the moisture levels perfectly when spawning to the tub, it often will not need touched at all before the first flush

Looks like you're turning things around well from what you posted the other day. Keep up whatever you're doing, don't overthink it. You got this

That's what I read everywhere. I prepare my CVG on the moist side, at 5.1x times water. When I first lifted the lid, there was a beautiful mycelium carpet but excess moisture according to me. I removed the pools at the center and moistened the corners... 24 hours later it was dry..., like getting light brown kind of dry. It's not like I live in the desert, humidity in my area is slightly below 50%

Thanks for the encouragement, bro!
