Psilocybe semilanceata- panaeolus subbalteatus- gymnopilus sp.- maybe something regional- I swear last year I read about some new shroom in a country geographically compatible in Europe (all the rest eludes me). I know nothing of your weather. There have been may post about european requests for species count and names.

That sums it up, I guess. Perhaps Ps. Cyanescens also occurs in Croatia, but your best odds are with liberty caps. They occur in the autumn when the temperatures drop once more. At this time of the year, you won't find much in Croatia I'm afraid.

Czech Republic that must have been, IIRC. There may also have been a report of an unidentified species from Spain, but I'm far from sure on that one.

I think you could find Panaeolus cinctulus (subalteatus) near to horse stables or Psilocybe semilanceata on sheep pastures.

These were found not far away from you (Slovenia):

I'm not even the only one. Not to mention that there are also other Croatians around.

That's hard to answer. It took me a long time to find my first active wild mushroom. Panaeolus subalteatus seems to grow from early summer to autumn. If I were you I'd go looking for them somewhere where they have horses right now after this latest heavy rain.
Psilocybe semilanceata grows on higher altitude pastures in autumn.

There are also several autumnal wood loving species that were found in our woods but they must be very rare. For example: Psilocybe cyanescens, P. serbica, P. arcana, P. bohemica & others.

Naravno.

There are a couple of ranches near where i could find horse or cow shit... you dont think i could find any shrooms in the woods... or if i could move the poo to the woods and make my own spot there... would that be posible.

Zgleda da nisem edin slovenc kle... hehe

I'm leaving for Poland soon. I did google, but didn't come up with much. I know Liberty Caps are common in Europe, but those are autumnal. Panaeolus subbalteatus/copelandia supposedly is also common in Poland. Does anyone know or any other mushrooms popular in Europe? How would my luck be in find anything within the next month or so?

Copelandia's are a tropical and subtroical species and do not grow in Poland.

Here is a list of species known to occutr in Poland.

Excerted from Guzman, Allen and Gartz 2000. Posted here at the Shroomery.

Quote:

Poland
Amanita muscaria (Wieland, 1968)
Claviceps purpurea (Grasso, 1955; Heim, 1957c, 1978)
P. semilanceata (Gartz, 1996)

May have P. serbica and P. cyanescens but not yet reported in print.
