Liberty Caps Ideas
    #26307452 - 11/08/19 02:22 PM (5 years, 2 months ago)

So I have looked for Liberty Cap growing information. All people say that liberty caps can't be successfully grow'd. So I have a question, is it possible to look for liberty caps grassland, find a family and dig them up, but in bucket filled with rich dirt and cow poo. Transfer them to your secret location and plant them in similar or same conditions in which you found them. Also does the mycelium survive the winter and fruits the next year again, or dies and spores are only way the species survive? Also I thought to dig them up with the surrounding grass and deep.

CronicR is your man for this question but I think it would work if you knew it wa a place where you found a flush of say 20-30.

Also if you can grow a fully colonised substrate you can also bury that under your lawn and it will fruit.

They don't grow on manure, they will but in the field they grow in the grass.
They are fairly easy to grow outdoors it can be as simple as tossing a couple handfulls of fruits in some straw or making grain spawn for a more optimal result

Grain spawn>Pasteurized straw> Then what do you suggest cron, where would you put it?

Does is grow well in coir?

What was the quickest you got  a jar to colonise?

Completely off topic but what is the likely hood of cubes fruiting outdoors in a 4 seasons type climate? Want to plant some of my grain spawn but would be kicking myself if it never fruited

It would go dormant and would be beter being expanded in more favourable conditions for colonising  shiz

I think inside its more a question of temperature control, you have to simulate fall somehow, maybe moving it in and out the frezer
