Mean people suck

I hate to post this, but I gotta' know something. Why are some people here so rude?
I haven't been here a very long time as some of you have, but I just gotta know, why do some people feel the need to berate and belittle people for their opinions? I say, if you don't like the question posed (or opinion), do as I do, don't answer it.
The vast majority of people here, are great and I love sharing my knowledge of a subject with them and recieving info from them. But there is a small percentage of folks out there that feel the need to make shit out of someone instead of sending them in the direction they need to go?
Am I the only one that feels this way?

I'm with ya man, some people are just assholes or feel the need to try and insult someone to make themselves feel better. On the other hand, some people do bring it on themselves by trolling or just doing stuff on here that is not wise.

I agree whole heartedly. But why be nasty? As some people are. Debates are great as long as they stay civil. Don't you agree?

Yes, they do, and I try to generally avoid them...

However, try to realize, that in a lot of ways they can't help it. But, that doesn't mean that you should feel sorry for them either -- not in an Oprah?-sense -- they are not so much victims, but simply the bad set design in the play of life: functional and necessary, but certainly avoidable. I just try to step over them, and walk around them, like so many passed-out drunks in the tenderloin... :wink:

In conclusion I just gotta agree with "script". When I have it out with someone, I just PM them and talk it out and we become the best of friends.

people do that cos they feel insecure about themselves, so they feel the need to make other ppl feel bad so they feel better about themselves

if you're talking about arguing with someone, a lot of people argue and use any means to stay on top. even if it is being a jerk.
if you're talking about harrassment, some people are just dicks. simple as that. just let them be an asshole with their asshole friends. just know you're not that low.
