anybody have any good suggestions for games that are fun to play tripping? i only have an n64 right now, but i may buy another system soon. fun tripping games i have right now are fzero-x, wrestlemania (making wrestlers), guantlet legends, mario kart... and i think i have mario around here somewhere. anyways, any good suggestions? plus id be interested to hear what your weirdest video game experience was

rez. its on the dreamcast and the playstation 2
youre going to hear a lot of poeple say theres much better things to do with your trip than videogames. But rez is a trip in itself.

Do what you want, but I prefer looking at the ceiling, thinking about gravity, walk through a forest, be amazed about life, talk with friends, close my eyes, etc, etc....

Old Mario was fun while comming down... So much fun to see Mario do what you want him to do.

rez, n2o, amplitude, frequency, all on playstaion.
also mario kart double dash on gamecube is extremely fun while tripping, the colors constantly change and you wont stop laughing while playin, with your friends especially. Oh yeah, Yoshi's Island is very insane to try and play while tripping.

mariocart is excellent to play. especially the new one for gamecube.a friend and myself munched on 2 hits of acid and played it last night. the enhanced graphics make the experience beautiful. I just felt like I was melting into the game and the whole thing is all techno-colored. Its a trip :wink: I'd love to try the n64 mariokart also while tripping :laugh: :mushroom2: :mushroom2:

I find the simpler the game the more fun you'll get out of it. If by chance you have an Atari tucked away somewhere, get it out, hook it up and get ready to laugh your ass off. If you don't have an atari, go out and buy an atari classics game.

I enjoy playing mario kart for the gamecube while coming up. We usually play rainbow road...Awesome colors and its an easy game to play once you start feeling it...though after too long, i usually cant concentrate on it and have to move on to something else.

Anyone who loves video games while tripping has got to get Rez...
Probably my favorite video game ever (Even when sober).
When tripping lets just say the game gets REAL intense. This game was MADE for tripping but you dont have to be fucked up to have a blast.

Available for:

Playstation 2,

---USA version is rare as hell and probably atleast 35 bucks if you do find it
---Japanese version can be bought new for 20 bucks or less online AND as an added bonus its all in english there is no reading except for menus anyway

Dreamcast,
---Never seen or played it but i'd imagine it might run slightly slower. Not released in US only in Japan and UK (I think)

EVERYONE BUY THIS DAMN GAME SO THEY MAKE A SEQUEL. IT KICKS ASS AND YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED.

p.s. Screenshots online doent do the game justice. BUY IT

I got Silent Hill 3 (PS2) ; if you ever want to freak out, and become psychotic; I highly recommend it :wink:

No, I usually find videogames boring while tripping: like
- racing games: "why the hell do I have to be on time in this game; what the fuck are those adding numbers on the screen? etc... "

- fighting games: seem F - A - K - E  and dull; they don't mean anything.

I guess I'm too dumb ( or too smart, whatever you want :wink: ) to play games while tripping; cause I don't see the point in that; I'd much rather do something else with my precious time.

I spent the first 4hrs of a trip playing Sim Earth on an Old apple Mac. Till my friends got my attention.  I find old atari 2600 games are best !  Big Blocky Graphics!
Games arent fun for long though IMO.

I've never tried video games while tripping so I can't really give a fair judgement, but it seems like it would be a good idea for the come up. A way to keep my mind off of the intense rush of energy I'm feeling... :smile:

I only have an Xbox though, so I don't know if any of my games would be good for the come up. I wish I still had my N64.

Please check out my post on gamecube games. All of those games have very bright and otherwise interesting visuals. I am sure they will more than suit your needs. And they are fun when you are sober too.

It's a pretty good game but XBox has some other good titles. It's good it's just weak when everyone thinks its all XBox has to offer. That's how it is around all my friends and such.

Halo was great when it was new... but now it is a bit outdated... hell, when it was new, pc shooters had been doing the same thing for years. Halo is the first good FPS for a next generation console, with a great control scheme and amazing production values. Best game ever? Hardly. Worst? Not by a long shot. Overrated? Today... yes. For its time... not at all.

Maybe for Xbox it was good, but when they released it on PC, I laugh and laugh, it was pathetic ... especially with games like Far Cry and such around.

Classic remakes for Gamecube are my favorite ATM, Mario Kart, Mario Sunshine, Zelda windwaker, The new zelda comming out in about a year for GC, etc etc...good shit..brings back the old games but makes them alot better somtimes that is...
