Thanks for everyone's input heree, especially to those who gave the advice that there wasn't enough water and my sub:spawn ratio was to high.
I bottom watered and saw immediate results. I managed to save the aborts in a few tubs. Going forward, I'll lower the ratio to 1:3 and there should be enough water to stop the aborts.

@Markamello hope everything is alright over there! I wanted to know more detailed how you bottom watered, can you share? Loved the end result. I also have a 1:1 so I am scared of the same thing!

I just peeled the liner open against the sub and poured around 2qts of water in each tub. I could kind of tell something was up when the pins started turning a darker brown when very small.
