I know I've got a bit of mold in this tub but I want to understand why these flushes aborted.
Genetics? Conditions? Mold?
Any help appreciated

That's a heavy pinset, those genes might be the thirstier kind. Try a Lil bottom water. But, the mold might be contributing

Where is this mold? It's like playing where's Waldo cause I'm not finding it.
It looks dry in there. I'm leaning towards conditions being the problem. If you hydrated that CV correctly, mixed it 1:3 ratio, and that sub is 3-4" thick it should be plenty to support that pinset.

im not seeing mold either, & i dunno that youβd get a pinset like that if there was mold in that tub. if your sub wasnβt at good field capacity when you spawned or if you didnβt use a high sub to spawn ratio the mushrooms may have just ran out of water to support the flush

I mix my oats to coir 1:1
Maybe it could be the problem. Rather than not enough water, I have too much spawn for the amount of water available in the coir

I haven't got another pic that can shoe the mold but have pics of a couple of other tubs in a worse situation.

1:1 sounds like too much work to me. My latest tub is roughly 1:3 in a pasty ex dialed and I havent had to mist it at all vs 1:1.5 in an unmodified where it was a daily mist or two required.
I'd up the sub ratio next time. Bottom watering helped for my second flush.
Great pinset though.

oh yeah if thereβs color like that in the tub in question itβs probably not helping anything lol
the 1:1 ratio is probably some of it tho. for a pinset like that you need a lot of water available- mushrooms are around 92% water. higher amounts of sub provide plenty of water for fruits to swell

Wow, these tubs are going to shit. These cannot be saved. Unless sporulating green molds in your indoors work environment is your goal, i would pick all pins/fruits and discard the rest.
Molds are not always the cause of what you see here too, it could be that the cause of what we see here was bacterial spawn at some level of development we are not privvy to.

assuming youβre using coir, what probably happened was the spawn was slightly bacterial (i doubt you would have spawned a green jar lol) & bacterial myc ends up getting weakened during the fight & while the myc is weak other contaminations get a chance to sneak in & take a foothold. you had a very killer pin set despite that, though
how did you inoculate your spawn?

There's mold in these tubs btw...
I'd say the ratio in the other tub is an issue but given your other mold issues I'd question the cleanliness of your spawn, coir prep, and overall techniques during inoculation.

These two are already in the bin. The one I have pictured with no mold is the one I'm trying to save.
I have this culture slanted and haven't had any issues with it on my last two runs at 1:1
It seems everyone agrees the fruits need more water and they're not getting it. I will try mixing at a lowe ratio and hopefully things improve

I read somewhere on here i think that if the substrate is too nutritious, you can have this issue of too many pins leading to mass aborting.

But he used coir

Right but it could have been he didnt use enough. Coir is slightly nutritious too. According to Bodhi, the lowest ratio you wanna use is 20%: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25274461#25274461
Maybe this strain that OP has needs the lowest possible ratio of grain.

1:1 is too much grain - thats why they pinned all over but stunted growth, they ran out of water. go to 1:3 or 1:4
contam is from sub optimal grain prep

I'd like to know if you packed down your sub or just left it kinda loose?
I've had this happen with first flush from my two most recent grows of a proven culture. I suspect it might be cause I stopped packing down my casing layer.
