Best method of outdoor cultivating psilocybe cyanescence? 1

The other day I found a nice batch of psilocybe cyanescence in my local park (UK). I would like to make an outdoor woodchip mulch pot or patch from it. What would be my best options for cultivating this? Collect some mycelium from the ground and spawn to cardboard then add woodchip over it? Or make a syringe/print and go through the usual indoor inoculation process before introducing to woodchip outside? Any resources/help would be greatly appreciated, I've only ever grown Golden teachers before in the summer here

Lot of times just taking the stem butts and putting them in more chips works really well. I avoid cardboard, just have never got them to take off from cardboard to wood. If you have good agar skills cloning wild fruits is a great route, they have a lot of vigor and fruit really well compared to MS, plus you can keep the culture for the rest of your life and make copies to share with others. Check out my signature, lots of good woodlover grows.

Hey thank you for the great response! I have never actually attempted cloning yet but you got me reading and I think I can do it! Just need to make some agar plates 😍 I'm assuming these take time to fruit though? Would I see fruits in season next year with this method? Also gunna have a read through your signatures! Thank you again 🍄🍄

I grow golden teachers and grew cyans I found from a park. Took tissue cultures from inside the stem... agar... to wild bird seed. last winter I cut down some fresh alder trees and used a chipper to make big patches of chips a foot deep. Chose shady northern facing locations. Used cardboard to separate the chips from the dirt. Avoided larger, thick bark pieces of wood. spread the birdseed throughout the patch. grew real well.... excited because its 40f at night now and raining. The patches are 10x10 and I made a few of them.

That sounds amazing! I wish I had a bigger garden 🤣 you are set for life if these all go successfully ❤️❤️ I love giving the mushroom life more than consuming it seems 😍😍 I'm going to make a few home patches inside plant pots and also tempted to spread spores around some hidden park locations for those who are really looking for the medicine 😍 I read once that if you cut up mushrooms and place them in water for a few hours it can be sprayed to cultivate ground? How true is this???
