I made this grid. Measurements should be true to size. It's dimensions are 100mm x 100mm, with a 100mm diameter circle centered over it. It is intended to be used as a grid to place a petri dish on top of for selection of transfers, likely printed on a transparency, and underlit by means of a light box. Each larger square is 1cm². This gives 88 regions within the circle. In this way, you could could use a single dish to plate out roughly 4-5 full sleeves of dishes with a uniformly sizable amount of mycelium. I chose 1cm segments because that is about as large of a sample as I've seen anyone transfer, on average, to any subsequent dish. You could always go smaller or larger, freehand your selections (as I'm sure many choose to do, for various reasons), or pick out different shapes. This is just something I made for myself to be able to methodically piece out samples from a starter dish.

Feel free to tell me what you think.

That's very nice.

Although, I think it should come with a warning: "Do not watch that grind when tripping" cuz it's fucking with my brain and I'm straight up sober :laugh2:

Idk who came up with the toilet brush on a drill idea but it's incredible. If you wash a lot of jars it's a 100% must have. Also I just got a bacti-cinerator for scalpels mostly. I have 3 scalpels, so if theres a handle overheating issue I'll rotate scalpels.

Surely a bottle brush will work better than a toilet brush?

He's talking about a "power" brush: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27976778#27976778

Drill attachment :super:

I had a bottle brush for years. This drill bit is 100x easier

They fit perfectly against the walls of the jar and they clean in 2 seconds

Yes I agree with the drill, just asking why a toilet brush over a bottle brush but I see the shape of the toilet brush.
My toilet brush is angled to the one side.

The toilet brush he is talking about looks just like a bottle brush only instead of a handle it has a hex bit you can put in a drill chuck. It’s a really clever idea!
