What percentage of your income do you invest?

I recently started dabbling in the stock markets but was unsure of how much to invest month-to-month. Online advice varies a lot; it sounds like some people invest everything ("why own a house when it just means you are one house poorer, rent for as long as possible and put everything into the stock market")
What percentage of your discretionary income (income after necessities + taxes), let's say annually, do you invest in stocks, assuming you invest at all? Income levels aside, what do you personally do...

I don't know about discretionary. Just straight 20% of take home.

About 15%. I live in a high cost of living area, so a lot of my income goes towards housing. There are other things to consider beyond a percentage though. For example, my employer matches ~5% of my retirement contributions, so that is literally free money from them. I'm also provided a pension, which despite being small (maybe $30k/year today) it's something. You really just need to keep your ultimate retirement goals in mind.

Fuck stocks. And advising against owning a house seems kinda retarded to me, real estate is a much safer investment than the stock market. Where ya gonna live if this economy never recovers and all your money was in it? I invest about 10% in crypto, which I can afford to totally lose if that happens. But I own my house, paid for in total by flipping my last house.

It’s a little too difficult for me to figure this out right this second, as a major portion of my retirement comes out pre-tax and before I ever see my paycheck for discretionary spending.
So I’ll go with the easier - of my gross income I invest 32.5% annually, and maybe even a bit more in random crypto stuff, like 35%

Around 15% and I know it is not enough. I am going to contact ollo customer service on this site and discuss with them setting of the automatic investment of 20% every single months. I guess I can even do 25% but don't want to make it too harsh for me, as there is a chance I will back off at the end. Better to move slowly but surely If I want to have a good result.

I lived off off 750.00 a month, with my house payed for and very few bills and expenses and managed to invest roughly 400 every single month in to sealed sports card wax at the sealed price level. I have boxes that were 20 that are now worth over 100 sealed. 50 dollar boxes that are worth over 250 sealed. (2020 nfl). I stacked up a lot of shit. I was able to stay in the green inside the hobby, thats what it is...every corner theres a scam or pitfall. I was fortunate that O chased the right stuff and held, and had discipline to not open stuff I knew would be higher value. Im in a cash out scenario now and having to ise major tax stradagies to circumvent.
But basically what i'm gonna do is sell off everything online and take every cent and buy a van for my none emergency medical transport business. The online reporting went from 200 transaction or 20k, to 600.00 period on any platform and you and tax man will forsure being seeing each other. Its going to destroy some of these lads in the card market BIG TIME.

85-90% or more.
just had the possibility to buy a small plot of land at a affordable cost, gonna put a Very small log cabin there to live in. and build a small lab for the ffu and so on.
i belive in diversification and long term holdings, so i am basicly gonna grind around 1-2 years of my life into crypto, stocks and minerals. Dont know where this will lead but it feels good to really go for it.
at worst iĺl have a place to live and alot of fruitbodies of various sorts

Very nice mate, my partner and I have just done this for a 12HA propety we picked up cheap. It seems the land market is dirt cheap atm. Personally I've been expanding into the land market instead of crypto and stocks, been having some real nice returns on the flips.
