Get the old dried up stuf at the bottom of the heap, it`s already composted.

I know horse poo is used in composting a lot, but I don't know if you can use it before it strait out of the horses ass. You might have to compost it first.

Horsey Poo is actually better as it has a lot more undigested plant matter in it...more left for the mycelia to chew on. ANY poo needs to be well aged...but not too old. If it is too well composted you've lost a good deal of the carbs the mycelia need.
