Do you, honorable sirs, dunk after harvesting fruits?
I use 100% coir as bulk sub.

I tend not to as much. I prefer a bottom water and then tip out what isn’t absorbed by the sub.

Alternatively just a real heavy misting for a few days. Or even both!

First 3 bags are in the EZ dial FC, recased one as I noticed the green was growing on the casing.. I was almost certain this was 50:50.. but I used a bag I had laying around which looked like casing, but maybe it's diy sterilized cactus soil.. which contains nutritious quality potting soil.. no good..
:wellthatsweird:

..if it contaminates I'll remove the casing and pasteurize some 50:50. Will make some today as I expect stuff to contaminate.. it's a matter of time.

A print was received from the captain a few years ago which was supposed to be Psilocybe galindoi so I was trying for sclerotia in containers with no success, I thought maybe the strain isolated just wasn't a stone producer so I gave up and the strain was on petri dishes in storage for a while.

Eventually the culture fruited in vitro on agar so I decided to fruit it on BRF cakes, I'm pretty sure it's P. subtropicalis, I looked back and did notice he was fruiting that species around the same time so it could be possible.

These are on BRF cakes cased with peat/perlite/gypsum pasteurised for two hours.

Hopefully some of you guys with experience with P. subtropicalis can confirm my suspicions?

It seems to fruit nicely from cased BRF cakes.

That is incredibly Semp looking to me, from the cap colour to the stipe. Wait for those caps to turn up and triangulate and you have your answer 👍🏼

Tampanensis caps triangulate as well though, no?

From a color standpoint, all my tamps were darker than subs, though I am not sure how reliable color is as a basis for IDing:

Vs subs (these are young ones):

Can’t comment just yet though casing 4 tubs today, hoping for the best. Those prints were clean as can be as well! And growth has been excellent so far at least to my untrained eye. The coming weeks will tell..

10 days since casing we have pins/primordia in all 4 tubs. Can’t get a good picture currently though we’ll see how this goes.

That's so exciting! I went back to spores with one of my prints, and got pins 14 days after spawning.
I've got some nice cluster and some chonky single fruits, will take clones next week :yesnod:
Can't wait to see your photos.

I have a faint - but workable - print left. It's yours if you want it.

Otherwise, got this wheat jar, cased with cactus soil. Pins appeared 9 days after I cased it. Fruits starting to drop spores 18 days after first pins (still doing the technique of misting them everyday once or twice a day). Didn't take prints, because I found these fruits growing on wheat aren't as meaty/big as the ones grown on rye previously.

And second flush is on the way.

Oh! It's also the one which had the double headed shroom:
