I don't think I have a favourite, but Spirited Away and Ghost in the Shell are two films that I think are among the best animated films.
Ghost in the Shell is stunning when you realise what handdrawn animation could accomplish, a lot of effort went into the making of that movie

As a kid i hated his depressing stuff. Fire and Ice was lit? blaaaa...
And sloppily rotoscoping... not a fan.
My hate extended to Hannah Barbera for sloppy artwork and bland storylines.
Its infuriating that spongebob brought crappy artwork back, along with its questionable morality.
The commercial brain hack of pokemon was distasteful to me.

Anything by Studio Ghibli is good!
Akira, however, would get my vote as the best

It's so hard tbh. Akira really was the pinnacle of anime during the time, it introduced so many new animation techniques. It really was ahead of its time.
However the story telling in Ghibli animation is what really wins it for me.
