I'm not positive so please correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't it best to avoid eating any mushroom with a white spore print?  I can tell you for sure that they are not active because of the spore print.  When looking for an active mushroom, always look for brownish to black prints.

Uproot: matching mushrooms with pictures you find online is a good way to get yourself killed. Never try to ID a mushroom based on looks alone.

First mushroom may be a russula or possibly lactarcius. The second mushroom may be a lepiota. Others can do this more precisely than I can.

As a wild guess, I'd try Russula for the first one and Agaricus for the second.

On the first one, the base of the stem is missing. You need to make sure you get the base of the stem, unless you already know what species the mushroom is. There are a lot of species where you need to see the base of the stem to identify them accurately.

On the second mushroom you state that the gills are attached, when your second photo clearly shows they are free. I'm pointing that out so you can see the difference on specimens you have in front of you. Anytime you need to verify whether the gills are attached or free, one good way is to cut a specimen in half vertically.

nycomyco, Lepiotas have white spore prints. Free gills and a dark brown spore print points at Agaricus. Free gills and a white spore print points at Amanita or Lepiota. I know that wannatrip says the gills are attached even though the second photo clearly shows they're free, but that's part of the fun of trying to identify here - you have to consider information like gill attachment to be suspect unless you can see it for yourself in a photo.

Happy mushrooming!
