Please help the newb!

Hey, guys! First-time grower, spending untold hours reading all your stuff, like a proper rookie.
I’ve noc-ed up a few jars of several different strains, and my first APE jar has pins! It’s only been fully colonized for about 3 days, and I was going to wait 1-2 weeks and let the rest catch up. I’ve heard that APE can be finicky, so I don’t want to mess it up. Is it okay to leave it for a little longer?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you both! Turns out there are pins in three other APE jars too! Looks like I’m giving birth tonight.
They’ll just be a little lonely in my SGFC for a couple days until everybody else is ready.
Appreciate your input!

LotKid, I just read your PE tips. I hope I know enough to use them someday!

You can sing to them if you want. Just dont expect it to help growth at all.
You probably know enough now. Those tips are just a basic guidline if youre having blob troubles. Nothing difficult about it. And can vary a bit from culture to culture.

Ha!
I’ll take whatever can apply to PF tek, and thanks! You don’t think three days is too little time to consolidate?
I prolly shouldn’t have started with APE, but my (so far) only up-close experience with mushrooms was APE. It was hands-down the most extraordinary thing I’ve ever experienced - so I’m partial to it.

Yep - three days. I just didn’t want them to go too long, but the pins are really small.

Environment looks perfect! Keep up the humidity and don't handle them too much, they'll be fruiting before you know it

I misted thoroughly every 30 minutes for the first 2 hours, per RR’s video. Now I’m worried maybe I overdid it, but my Perlite feels kinda dry, even though I rinsed the heck out of it. My crappy gauge says it’s at 89% humidity.
Is there such a thing as draining your Perlite too well? I actually added a bit of water to it in the terrarium. I figure any extra will drain out the bottom holes anyway.
I guess I’m going to try misting/fanning 3-ish times per day, and maybe some extra on the Perlite?

the SGFC only works if its packed with cakes. you should put those guys in something smaller. even ziploc bags would be ok. small containers with one little breathing hole and some wet perlite or verm
and dont fan. ever

I have more cakes to put in there in 2-3 days. Is that too long for them to hang out in there?
I’ve seen conflicting info about the fanning. Why not ever?
Thanks for the response!
