Just finished the fucking worst SAB session ever!

It started with my torch lighter dying. Had to TRY do everything with a normal lighter.

Started doing a2g, I dropped 1 jar lid on the floor of the SAB. Bumped the SAB 2-3 times. Then, while doing a2a transfers, I kept dropping the the pieces being transferred.

Then I poured a sleeve of 20. Right after pouring the very last one, I accidentally slammed the stack with my hand - 3 plates have agar "to the roof" now.

Today I had also planned to clone oysters and test 2 LC but I'm tilted so that'll have to wait till tomorrow.

PS: If you're not having a great day don't work in a SAB
PPS: Fuck you Karma, I'm a good person - YOU GOT THE WRONG GUY!

lmfao if you have the $500 to spend, the amazon FFU has been a godsend. used an SAB for about 3 years but i only had a 100qt & couldn’t comfortably do more than like 4 jars & a transfer or two at a time. the FFU was worth every penny, if you’re looking to get into gourmets it up your active production you really can’t go wrong

- can't spare the 500 right now, life's begin a bitch and I need to do renovations on the house before winter. By xmas hopefully

- don't laugh -> mine is a 66qt (I know it's way too small but I had managed to do my stuff without major issues until today)

- you bet :super:

Yeah, prob don't even need sterilization after that long as any mold/bacteria will have died from dehydration :rofl2:

trust me, i feel ya. i only got mine so recently because i could finance it over 12 months on credit lol (gonna pay it off way sooner) but if not i was probably gonna have to wait until the new year to pick one up. it’s super worth saving up for if you’ve got a lot of projects going on.

my OG SAB was literally like 30qt lol. β€œupgraded” to a 50qt & then was using a 110qt until i got my hood. night & fucking day working in front of the hood for sure

Working in a SAB tweaks my back. I really need to save up for a FFU.

Not discounting just how wonderful having a hood is, but these kind of days happen to all of us. Just last week, I was pouring LC into jars and it slipped out of my hand and spilled 600ml of LC all over everything…. And then later in that session, I dropped and broke a jar of grains… so LC, grains, and broken glass everywhere! After that I called it quits and got drunk instead. Sometimes it’s just not a good day haha

Those nice and sleek FFUs are super quiet but my conventional flow hood is loud as fuck haha but I just blast music so it doesn’t bug me. And the wind flow is pretty minimal and usually I get sweaty when doing lab work so I like the little bit of air haha

awwwww shit

all this flowhood talk

:feelsbadman:

I have been looking at my dinky SAB, procrastinating on resuming things. She is a real piece of shit but she did a lot for me. I will stick by her for now. But if any young flowhoods come knocking, I may not be able to resist the temptation any longer

what would jesus do

:smbfacepalm:
