I'm only about 20 pages in, but it is very well thought out. I especially appreciate the attention to defining terms which is easy to overlook. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for your positive feedback, any questions yet?
I know I’m touching a topic here that has a lot of knowledge gaps. Hope that future fundings will be granted for these kind of topics

I'll have to read it a few more times. Technical language isn't second nature to me (I'm academically lay and all my learning has been self directed, which is why I probably appreciate the handling of terminology).

I know I'm not alone in wondering why certain varieties/strains don't eject spores, or even don't produce spores. I've even had a strain that ejected spores with 0 viability, suggesting they ejected before nuclear migration through the sterigma occurred.

It's exciting to see someone posting on the topic and I hope to see more serious inquiry in the future.

I just gotta say thanks for sharing this here. I am too lay in my knowledge to give you any particularly valuable feedback from an academic standpoint, but...

It absolutely blew my mind that the cap forms so early in the process within the hyphal knot. Very very cool! I'm just imagining chemical gradients across the knot causing genetic code to be read differently throughout causing the morphogenisis of the cap.

I suppose you might go into this in detail in there, forgive me, I just skimmed and looked at the pics.

Hi M0n0id,

Thank you for your positive feedback. I'm not going into detail of the development of the fruiting body itself, more into how spores are formed and the cellulair process that are involved.

Again thank you for your positive vibes!

Greetz
