Sounds like therapy might be a great option for her before she takes another deep dive.
Good on you for being there to help her through it. I think your experience was probably dampened (like you said) as you were focused on taking care of your partner.
Hope things trend positive for you and yours.
She’s in active therapy (as am I). She really is in a good place, but the mushrooms helped dig in more deeply than the years of therapy. These fungi really have accelerated my trauma recovery and I’m hoping the same for her.
We’re not only in therapy, but we have psychedelic assisted therapists to help with prep and integration. We’re being safe and healthy hear.
I appreciate your concern.

Hopefully next time will be more euphoric for you! Fun thing with mushrooms is that they rarely give you what you expect, but rather what you need, at least in my experience.
Bigworm, this sounds like a good experiment and I am looking forward to read how it went. Enjoy 😁!
100% on getting what you need from the mushrooms. That’s been my experience too. Despite the emotional heaviness of her experience we both came away from it feeling it was a great and invaluable experience.

So a not so quick update on the Nat+Mac trip. My come up was super smooth. I drank the tea over a 20 minute period so it may have eased me into it instead of chugging it and it hitting faster all at once. My wife had a rough come up and started to get bugged out by the music of choice for the night so I changed it. She drank her tea in 30 second, which is why I think I might be into something with slowly drinking it is better.(haven't search this topic yet but I will) After the pillow lounge we got tired and decided to go to bed(about 4hrs into the trip). Laying in bed we tried to sleep, but in the silence the mushrooms started to chat with us. I could hear and feel music in my head so of course my imagination started to go wild and the mental visuals were so cool. My wife started to have the same experience, not the same sounds but she could feel vibrations of sound as well. We lay there in complete silence for about another hour feeling like we were some kind of antenna for the universal sounds. I heard a space ship fly by and could feel the rumble and pressure of it as it went by, of course this was mentally but it felt real. I really started to want to sleep so I got my vape pen with an indica strain to try to knock me out. As I started to drift to sleep I began to feel like my skin was crawling and I couldn't scratch enough to stop it. Then I felt like I couldn't breath because there was no air in the room. I eventually started getting up to turn the fan on but my wife was already doing it. I eventually feel asleep and had dreams of being at work and getting orders ready. I woke up today nervous I forgot to fill an order and very exhausted. My wife slept like a baby and really enjoyed the trip, except for the first half hour.

Well now, what can I say about my Nat trip on Saturday, in one word: Wow.
It was a small burner event so I started off by wearing my mushroom costume and handing out mushrooms to everyone who would take them. I handed out 3 x 1 liter jars of dried mushrooms. Then I ate my 5g dose. Within 20 min I was feeling the effects.
The ground was warping as I was walking and it really felt like I was walking up and down hills. I sat down at the shebeen as I was beginning to peak. The visuals were intense, blinking showed energy patterns connecting people, OEV and CEV were off the charts. I forgot how to speak properly. At about the top of the peak a truly radiant being arrived and offered me a cup of Buchu and Rooibos tea. I tell you, this was the tea of the gods, I had a second cup.
I started moving around a bit, checking in on others. That's when I noticed how amazing the landscape was and how everything flowed together, I looked up and saw this

A perfect rainbow around the sun. I wasn't sure if it was real or just the mushrooms, but other people saw it too. The picture does not do it justice, but in my defense: I was high as fuck.
After about two hours I felt pretty normal again. I walked around the camp and there were a lot of people only able to say "wow". Then I sat down again and felt my chair just sinking into the ground, It felt like I was sitting flat on the floor with everyone above me.
The post peak was mild on visuals but high in connectiveness. The mountains around me undulated slowly for the next six hours.

Thanks for sharing Bigworm and schpat!
Bigworm, I also drink my tea slowly as it's easy on the stomach and I also noticed a slow comeup.
Schpat, I believe we saw the same halo .

Never have I seen such a well-behaved nat myc. Can't wait to see the result. Almost no snow and a lot of knots. Medium 22 litre tubs, straight coir 1:2. The holes (one at each side) are about 3cm in diameter and are covered with micropore tape. 2 generation clone culture made from biggest later flush fruit.

Wow, amazing reports everyone! I may try a proper dose sometime soon. Although I'm tempted to do Tamps instead, ngl
My "green snake" clone is pinning now. Except it's no green snakes. I must have been mistaken to call it the green snake pheno. It kinda resembled it but it's just not it.
Oh well. I have them in a chamber with FAE holes now tho, so I'll see how they like the extra air at least.

From a blob clone, less than a month in a shoebox and I get pins. Unfortunately, I was hoping for some kind of 'Enigma' like blob culture. On the plus side, the MS Natal mycelium TEK is still cruising along.

From the first flush of my first quart I got 105g wet that we made tea from this past weekend, and 23g dry I took out of the dehydrator today. Probably an ounce dry approximately from one quart in one flush. I’m pretty happy with that. New pins are already showing in the shoebox for flush 2.
Started a few new shoeboxes from some colonized grain jars today.

20g wet of the spaghetti green dot cap pheno with 3 tablespoons of lime juice and 3/4 cup of water as tea. Last indulgence was 3 weeks back with APEU.
The nats felt like 3.5g maybe 4g of dry of cubes at most with no oev and minimum cev. Strange bit is the next morning felt normal but later in the day and next day, 2 days later, foggy brain but with loads of deep introspection.
I feel like cubes = fun, wet nats in tea = session with a shrink with some shock theory. I will give it another try but this time as per my usual way it will be dry straight off the scale.

My GF had this same experience this past weekend with about 23g wet in tea (though I used citric acid).
Same post-trip experience you’re describing.
I on the other hand I felt it was less punch than standard cubes, it passed very quickly, and I was clear headed and stayed that way within 5 hours. Trip was only 2 hours with 3 hour afterglow.

from all these reports coming in slowly, it begins to look like that natalensis could demand higher doses to get really loaded in the sense of a classic psylocibin trip experience? 3g+?

It's pretty phenotype specific, I'm fairly happy at 1g and even get major positive vibes from 0.5g. 4 and up is great but I really enjoy lower dose Nats as well.
