I couldn't help myself went out into the blackberry alder maze again for night hunt. My flashlight died way far in and almost couldnt find my way back out as i was many many many turns into blackberry bushes off the path but.
Id say it was worth it another lil pile from a 40 min night pick and today's 2 trays drying in back and got yesterdays all bagged up.

Out of a dozen spots checked this is the only one producing so far. Interested to see what this good ground soak followed by cold temps will do in the valley. Might give a good week or two after all.

But what do I have here? Initially presumed ovoid, since they popped while it was still warm and dry (in a well-irrigated spot) within a huge Spring ovoid patch but they are not. Pretty sure they are cyan but maybe alenii?

Also, while I'm certain someone planted this spot, and did it well at that, this patch is absolutely not cultivated.

Very nice! I would say cyan.

Blackberries are constantly dropping dead vines that woodlovers eat right up.  Throw in a woodchip bed underneath and you've got a complete canopy keeping the heat off of patches so they stay moist longer and fruit sooner.

They also eat rain gear alive so just go carhartts and get soaked but not scraped (too much, they'll still getcha!)

Southwest, dryer for the most part, of Eugene.  The patch that has over mature rotting fruits gets very little water, but has good placement.  The pins in front of the smart pot are in a very exposed spot that gets full sun from noon to sunset.  And exposed spots in the orchard with all day sun are pinning now.  This isn’t a place to complain about not finding stuff, they are out there waiting for you.  The Pholiotina are obviously 100% hands off, other than them being in my heart and waiting for them to come to me.
Going to look for pelleis as soon as I can.

I went to check a clear and chip that's a few years old and sits at ~1400.  Nothing but Galerina marginata as far as the eye can see.  Chips, logs, debris, roots, nothing is spared.  I should take some prints and fruit them :devilguy:

T-Minus one year and counting until reports of "naturally occuring Psilocybe azurescens" in Portland Oregon.

Went out looking for patches today and didn't find any, but anywhere that looked good got a chunk of azurescens myc stuffed in it.  These are all VERY public spots.  Happy hunting.
