So I got to keep my Apple cider kush f1 at home. She is so much different than the one in the 2x4. This one is more bushy. Smells exactly the same tho. Sour sharp pear.

Where did you get Mac? I want that strain so bad
I grew MAC1 from clone outdoors last summer and was pretty impressed. It was my smallest plant and I got to the bottom of the jars a few months ago, really wish I still had some on hand.
Tons of resin & trichomes densely packed, def one of the most resinous plants I've grown, thick layer of it. Most of all I find that it a really nice high. Out of 8 or so different strains I grew last summer it was the one I reached for the most, just something about it I really enjoyed.
I found that it has a kinda unique/different aroma from a lot of what I smell these days. It is difficult for me to describe it and that's rare for me lol. It isn't a super loud aroma but complex and different from a lot of what my nose has smelled. It has been many months since I've smelled the stuff proper, but IIRC it is yeasty/bready but also kinda like jack but has some gas and other notes I can't put into words. When it was hanging up in my room to dry I woke up in the middle of the night the first night it was in there wondering "WTF is that smell?" lol. I had other strains hanging in their prior to and that MAC1 had a really odd funk that it was letting loose those first few days/nights as it was drying that stood out from the rest of what I had hanging up. No other strain I've grown has smelled like it did that first few nights it was drying, the scent was entirely new to my nose (it was totally different from what the dry flower or a finger rub on the fresh-resin smells like).
MAC1 is def a favorite of mine and I'll def grow it again and interested in crosses with MAC1.

@DERRAYLD...All those flowers look fuego!

I have no idea who’s cut it was… is there a difference between Mac and Mac 1?
I’ve found some black liquorish terps in some Martian mean green…. You guys remember that strain?
Mac 1 is known as "Cap's Cut", it's the breeder selected pheno that he released limited clones of. I saw big time growers buy zips of it for $300 when it was all the hype. I tried some around 2019 and will say it was one of the better strains I tasted that year. Was it worth that much though? Probably not.
MAC seeds and crosses have a lot of mixed reviews with Jack terps seeming to dominate like I said earlier. Apparently finding a pheno similar to the MAC1 is very rare.
Edit: Random probably unrelated question, are you one of those people who also think cilantro tastes like soap?

Nah, my pallet is pretty complex. I’m really into sampling the kindest of kind buds and asking myself what it tastes like. And I be making my people smoke and do blind taste tests and whatnot… What’s really cool now is all the information there is about terpenes coming out in the past few years… there’s so many smells! Lol I miss catpiss I like that funky shit that makes you pull it away from your face but you have to smell it again cuz it’s just so funky!

I sampled my northern lights strain for the first time today and it's good. I never had anything so piney before. I don't live in a legal state so I have never had the opportunity to try different strains. Very cool feeling to be smoking my own product for the first time

California Orange black market bag seed

Some nugs i think are getting close to done. Probably couple more weeks. I bought some magnifying lenses off the internet.
The plant that fell down looks a little stressed but I think it's okay enough. That one has always been kind of sickly. I think i let it go too under watered and maybe nute burned early on. Still making flowers, just leaves not as healthy. They don't stand at attention for the sun like the other ones.

Oh man! I remember California orange was the first dank bud I got ahold of In Idaho when I was a kid. This guy had a bag and all the buds weighed an eighth… omg it was so delicious! I remember I teleported across the football field walking to school. I remember walking on the field and off the field but not walking across it. It was strange!ha ha

So I harvested my gg 4 days ago and I have it in a bathroom closed up with humidifier going keeping rh between 53%-65% hanging with fan leaves. Was going to trim fan leaves today when should I buck and trim the buds? Would I rather wetter than drier or kinda going for happy medium? Thanks all my 2 bb#3 about a week or so putting at close to 100 days of flower 💥

Why do you have a humidifier going?

when to trim really comes down to personal preference. try different methods and see what you like.
i take off fan leaves immediately. when i trim the rest depends.

Same here, tho mostly prefer dry trim for the closer leaves.

If his climate is dry it's not a terrible idea.
There isn't a timer for when to trim. Just like harvest time, its dependent. If you are going through the hassle of catering to a decent environment while drying, I would say trim when the outside of the buds are dry to the touch. I like to visualize moisture being pulled from the stem to the buds. The idea of a slow dry is for the moisture to evaporate slowly.
In dryer climates I will trim when buds feel a bit crisp, then juggle from a sealed container to open air periodically to achieve that slow dry

Quick pic of the Hobbit grow. (9)TD, (5)ACK
I topped and cloned the first 6 suspected males a few days ago. Seeing the structure in ACK of Hobbits my presumed presexing might be off more than usual.

Lip Smacker
I had high hopes for this strain. She crushed every box, looks, density, bag appeal... except the terp box. Flat. Super disappointing seeing I cloned a bunch and ran em before the final thought
