Lmao i know its not much at all but im new to saving money and figure i could learn something from yall. Just have no idea where to start
Maybe a micro investing app? Any thoughts?

Start selling drugs jk
The more money you invest the more noticeable the returns will be. Personally I'd save up until I have ~$1000 that I am willing to lose before investing.
Its kind of difficult to see an investment double in a short amount of time. People with "safe" index etf investments see around 7% growth per year by just holding. When you hit that really good high risk trade, you want it to be worth the time you put into making the trade so for me its a good idea to start with a higher amount so I can see a meaningful return
Another option that's really popular with crypto is dollar cost averaging. This is when you pick a set period of time, like the first of the month, and buy in a set amount. If you can set aside $50 each month, this might be a good idea
There are two really good ongoing talk pages on this form, one for stocks and another for crypto. You might find some good info there
If you do decide to use coinbase, you gotta watch out for the fees. I think they charge you extra for your first purchase. Normal coinbase has something like 5% commission on every trade which is pretty insane. Coinbase pro is much better for actively managed accounts and only has ~1% commission
I am not a financial advisor, you might lose all of your money
Good Luck!

Are you US based?
I think Kraken is cheaper than Coinbase/Coinbase pro and if you are not in the US, Binance is also an option

Here's a plan:
If you are a person who orders food every now and then, invest the $50 in good foods that are easily prepared, nutiritous and tasty.
Now, every time you want to order out, make a meal of this stuff AND PUT THE PIZZA MONEY ASIDE.
If you do this, your $50 investment has now become $100-$200 and you ate better and didnt have to wait for delivery while stoned.
Take these $100-200 to a place like Kraken and let informed people, like Geokills regular reporting of his holdings, inform you as to which might be viable to buy.
blammo, you're in business.

I use Robinhood
I am by no means rich at all
What I did, was first get lucky with LTC when it was at 45$/coin
Made a pretty penny
Anyway though, your best bet to invest a small amount of money is to go into robinhood, and search for any and all acronyms for stocks. Just type in "a" and then add all the stocks that start with a. Then do "aa"
Repeat this for the entire alphabet
Now, carefully peruse all those stocks
Pick stocks that are between $9 and $20. Read their description, what they do, how many employees they have, etc. Put them in a different list. This list is going to comprise of the stocks you are strongly considering investing in.
Look at their 5 ytd graph. Was it super valuable and then it tanked, but only recently barely got to $9? Don't buy
Is a stock positive on its ytd chart but down for the 1d, 1wk, 1mth, and 3mth charts, and just barely positive on the ytd but since it's 5y chart it has been slowly increasing? Is there good news about the stock? Buy.
Stocks that you would want to consider right now:
-Mining and shipping companies (as they start to open more) -Computer hardware companies -Biotech and pharm companies Renewable energy companies -things that electric vehicles need (like companies that build charging stations) -cannabis stocks -AI and deep learning companies -space exploration companies, companies that help with assembly of rockets -virtual reality companies -quantun computing companies
I started off small, and buy one or two shares at a time, see what it does...unless you're really confident and believe in the company, then go for more shares
Just make sure to read current events and news about the companies. Also make sure they have a sizeable workforce and good earnings calls. All of this information is available on Robinhood. Just be careful of that app because if you're not working with much money it can be really easy to make it disappear our of your bank account since sometimes deposits into Fobinhood are not instant.
I hope I had some good advice.
Also, lurking and spying on r/WallStreetBets is never a bad thing
Make sure you have diamond hands, and don't sell immediately unless you can make a profit, buy some stock back, then use your profit to buy another stock. For long term gains this is the way to do it.
I did it kind of like gta5. I just invested in every stock possible. Except here, I look at over 500 different companies a day lol. I rarely trade, because right now I have diamond hands for the stocks I invested in. I think a couple are about to take off and I wanna buy more whilst they're low

I’m by no means an expert, but I use the Wealthsimple app. Maybe there are better ones, but it’s easy, and that’s what I use. Psychedelic research companies are being publicly offered for the first time (at least that I know of). You can score stocks for a few bucks—some of them for a few cents. There’s also Bitcoin and ethereum.

You can put it in one of four Fidelity index funds with no minimum investment and no fees. The choices are large cap, medium and small cap, total stock market, and foreign index of established and emerging markets.
Fidelity lost massive amounts of customers to Vanguard when they popularized very low cost indexing. This is their way of getting those customers back. Fidelity loses money by operating these funds because they're giving away their services for nothing, but they know that once they get customers into the fold, many will also buy their revenue generating products.

If you're not making it in crypto starting from $50-$100, you're doing it wrong.
If one is as good as they think they are in this boomtown, the starting sum should not matter.
Good crypto folks achieve multiple doublings of what they started with.
5 doublings over $100 is still $3200.

Somewhat ironically, I recommend avoiding forum advice.
Benjamin Graham wrote "The Intelligent Investor." Warren Buffett called it, "By far the best book on investing ever written."
So far as a Broker/Dealer, the fastest growing B/D in popularity with hedge funds is Interactive Brokers. They will let you margin your stock 6x during day market hours.
If you don't like the sound advice of Graham, and prefer to roll the dice on something more aggressive... pick up the phone and call the issuers of the microcap growth companies you like, and ask them (employees) if you can buy some 144 stock (from an employee's personal stock). Tell them you want it at a 75% discount to market and you'll pay cash to any insider willing to sell. If they try to haggle with you just tell them, "Hey you have a TON of this stock and its not doing you any good at all right now. I'm just a little guy throw me a scrap and I'll give you some cash right now. I'm taking a huge risk with you and I have no warrants at all." Make them send the stock to the TA and when the TA tells you its OK, then release your cash to them. Someone around their office is probably hard up for cash and will take you up on it. Try to buy at least $5k worth because you'll end up sitting on it for a while. Make sure the stock is in good standing with its exchange. No pinksheets or stocks below $5. You'll end up getting the same stock in the long run as if you'd bought it in the market, but if you got a 75% discount... your stock has already gone up 400%. Then liquidate it all to take your profits after an attorney gives you permission in writing, and repeat with a different company.

Hey Asante! I've basically been doing this for the last year and its crazy how much money you can save by cooking vs eating out. With a little practice you can easily make your favorite foods better then the restaurant at a fraction of the price. On the rare occasion I eat out it often ends up being bad and expensive.
It may seen expensive at the grocery store but when you do the math of how many dollars end up on your plate its totally worth it.

Its totally big savings if you were habitually ordering food, and better quiality and its immediate!
If people have little money, their biggestr savings start with themselves, just like if you grow a little you are your own best customer because no one would give you what you paid retail.
As Scrooge McDuck said "a dollar saved is a dollar made"

End of last year my spirit guide advised me to invest in 150 cans of tuna in oil. They were 99 cents so that was 150 bucks Now 9 months later they're 1.89, that's 285 bucks best by 2026 - they will get ate. per can i saved 90 cents already. Cryptuna!

I'm on a stage of saving money. Learning about investing in stocks at the moment. First of all I learned to keep track of my finances. Then I started to not waste extra, and later to save more. This was a long trip, but I managed to save sometimes even a half of my monthly income. So now I learn about investing. I've just started, so no experience yet. But I think it'll give good profit. Having read the https://bnlfinance.com/why-fitbit-and-facebook-are-very-similar-companies/ article, I think Fitbit would be my next stock investment.
