casing question
    #2795830 - 06/15/04 04:42 PM (19 years, 9 months ago)

i have two casings that i believe have been exposed to too much humidity. the mycelium has completely colonized the casing layer and there are puddles of mycelium piss i keep having to soak up with q-tips. there are also little droplets of water scattered all over the casings. my question is...now that ive moved them to a fruiting chamber with lower humidity, will they fruit successfully? is there a chance of overlay? should i reapply the casing layer?

is the mycelium really matted and pure white or can you still see the casing layer....if you can see the casing layer I say fruit it as is if not you may wanna reapply but I can't be sure cause I've never had overlay...the best weapon against overlay is misting I believe...it will stop it from further growth for 6-12 hours then you'll start to notice it fuzzin..once your casing layer is colonized to teh point you want it..then keep misting everytime you see a lil fuzz startin...not only does this keep your mycelium in check but it also helps to induce fruiting I believe
