So I bought some spore syringes from sporewoks and stated getting pink color in the lions mane. Turnes out pink oyster got in and the lions mane produced some funky shrooms that looked like a cross with pink in it and semi fan formation. so about the same time I purchased a four pack of golden teacher and most of the jars are pink and pinning pink oyster. So the question is this... If the pinks and golden get mixed in together can the mycelium produce pink oysters with psylocibin in them?????????? I sell them to restaurants so this would be bad...

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. Would be neat, though.

Cross contamination with oysters is fairly common if you're not careful.

Any way you could elaborate a little so that I can feel confident I'm not selling magic oyster or lions mane to the restaurants?https://www.shroomery.org/forums/images/icons/red_eye.gif

Cross contamination is the most likely cause, not hybridization.
This post is about same-species cross contamination, but it still applies, especially if you're growing gourmet for restaurants (a lot of gourmet, particularly oysters, produce a LOT of spore).

What happens if you mix two variants o cube sis? If you inoculate one jar with two different variations? This could determine the dominant genetic variation?
