    #2795309 - 06/15/04 03:49 PM (13 years, 15 days ago)

the vikings and northmen used to drink a mixture of fermented fly agaric juice, bogberry juice, and caribou milk. you can use any shroom extract you want. mmmmmmm... sounds good.

I don't think mixing Amanita muscaria (muscamol) with alcohol is likely to be a good combination, I'd suggest using an edible Amanita species such as Amanita lanei or Amanita caesaria.

No one can prove that they did not eat it (you would have to have certain information about all of them).

The thing is that there is no proof that they did.

Also, most the Old Norse (less than 1% of which were actual vikings) lived quite far away from caribou range and procuring milk that hadn't turned would have been out of the question.
