It is called "O.G. Melmak". The clone I've been working with produces fruits that look like the one in the top right, which is what I believe to be the original classic PE style. The caps don't ever open and they usually fall over from weight by the time they get about 3" long.

Nice, I've been wanting to get my hands on some O.G., I've got 118 and TP. The last TP culture I ran refused to fruit. After 8 weeks of sitting and doing nothing in multiple shoeboxes, sweater boxes and bags, I tossed them and going back to plates. They all sat there fully colonized, never contaminated, just refused to fruit.
The 118 culture I have is super aggressive and rips through grain and coir, pinning at roughly two weeks after spawning.

Sure seems like Melmak is unusually picky. I've had a problem with it where my swabs start out very rhizo, but slowly turn to white fuzz. It seems it's not a problem when it comes to grain and spawning, but it drops my confidence in the culture bigly.

All of my TP plates are super rhizo, while my 118 plates are straight tomentose.

Interesting that the 118 is tomentose on agar but rips through grain and coir, I've had similar experiences with my fluffy cultures. I'm always hesitant to drop them but when they start to stride out.

Bk Mak is BuddaKing Mak right? Thats one of the few I'd actually pay extra money for, lol.
No need to pay xtra.. I still lurk around just been busy being a single dad of 2 littleones... Got a bin of old swabs ( guaranteed viable)from the MAK trials shoot me a pm with what traits you desire & I am sure the shroom gods will smile upon you.
My genetics are no more special than any others I just got killer results from spending years in front of my flowhood Isolating what I wanted. Every print swab of any linage has diamonds the trick is to have the patients & stamina to find em.

Man these bags blow up fast as heck
I might harvest them tomorrow some time before the caps even think of opening. I like that bag appeal and these melmac can give you giants with closed caps. Perfect.

No. I go from agar-Lc-grain- Once grain bags are ready I put them into the fruiting bag with coir.
So it could be all in one but I don't do it that way.
You mean like the bag is layered and knocked up top layer and mix when ready? No it's not them kind.
After I add the coir & grain to the fruiting bags, I like to heat seal them. Then I try and mix it up real good and spread it out amd press it down. Bags get coir all on the inside. I hate that. I ziptie my grain bags tho cause my sealer doesn't work on bags post cook.

That is what I was getting at.. I been tinkering for yrs with a all in one & bang it with LC but never been able to get yeilds massive consistantly.
I was hopefull that is what you were doing as your bags are on point.

I have tried it both ways separated (Grain on bottom) & pre mixed. They always colonized with a hefty shot of LC, LI or even GLC but were never consistent in yield or colonization times using a known monoculture that was like clockwork using other methods.

The ones I've worked with were called Melmac iso3 Thick penis- tp 118
My favorite was the TP. I'm going to harvest one or 2 or 3 of the bags today. One bag has slightly smaller slower growth than the other 3.
They be ready for the picking now tho. Time to get out old Presto dehydrator .

Pretty sure it was TP that went out as BKMAK -- I was told that "Tp is King of Buddakingdria"
