The chem class is easy for the most part except with all the damn math in regards to converting units.
It is extraordinarily rare for a person to be good at something they hate. The math for converting units is simple arithmetic. If you are struggling with the use of arithmetic just wait until you need to apply derivatives and integrals in your physics and physical chemistry problems.
If you are choosing a major based on the money and job prospects but you hate it you're making a serious mistake. Why don't you start reflecting on what you like (not even what you think you might like).

Nothing that you said is helpful whatsoever. What I would like is having a fucking job that would pay me enough to be on my own. Do you even know what it's like to be poor or are you just privileged? I spent two years of my life homeless because jobs fucking suck nowadays.
The only time I've enjoyed a math class was when the professor was really really good which was my trig class. Most math teachers fucking suck and completely convolute the material. I just don't have the patience for that. If all math teachers were the same then I wouldn't mind taking all these math classes.
When I can just use a unit converter on my damn phone, yeah I don't see the fucking point in learning unit conversion math problems. Everyone uses fucking calculators and computers in the industry anyway. I'm just trying to get a God damn degree so I can get a better fucking job. I already went to trade school but my industry is fucking horrible and all my teachers lied to me telling me I'd make better money. Fucking bullshit.
And yes you can be good at something and hate it at the same time. The theoretical aspects of math I completely understand and I'm going to understand them but I hate solving problems. I hate the tediousness and I hate that there's too much room for error like if you accidentally forget a negative sign or if you accidentally write down the wrong digit. Just too much room for human error. I'd rather just learn the theoretical aspects of math without actually solving any of it. This is how my statistics class was. It was mostly theory and barely any of it was actually arithmetic.
I'm good at drawing but I hate it. I'd rather paint than draw. So yeah you can be good at something but still hate it.
Did you even read my entire post? your response is really not helpful at all. The only reason people have jobs is for the fucking money. Maybe I should just fucking kill myself so that I won't have to worry about having to get a stupid job for fucking money.

Straight up if I can't find a fucking job after college I'm straight up fucking committing suicide. I don't even know why the fuck I'm waiting. I already have the goddamn rope and it would literally take 5 minutes for me to die.

you are willing to do school for 4-5 years for a degree.
well, on the other hand, if you found an entry level job today that in 4-5 years you could be promoted to a better role within the company and make as much or more than someone with a degree (and no student debt)

yeah but youre talking about killing yourself well before 200 rejections for employment. plus, Vicky had to be a full-blown drug addict if she couldnt find work at a grocery store (as mentioned in that article)

look dude, life is stressful. having a career as a biologist or neuroscientist isnt going to happen overnight.
all this talk about giving up isnt helping you achieve any goals. your attitude is holding you back in a lot of ways.
people can and have lived on their own without first obtaining a masters degree.

Yeah I've tried looking for better jobs nobody wants to hire anyone unless they have like 5 years experience already. I don't have 5 years experience with anything except stupid massage and I hate doing massage. You clearly have no idea what the job market is like.

I have a dui, usps wouldn't hire me. Besides, those people are severely underpaid and I wouldn't be able to afford to move out of my parents anyway.
Can someone answer the damn question please.

You are damn right. Nothing I tell you will help because of your attitude. I am privileged because I took all opportunities that were given to me without putting conditions. I am a product of public education all the way to grad school. And yes, although I haven't been homeless, there were times I didn't know how I was going to eat. I don't want to be there again. I'd rather do tedious jobs. Better than not having food to eat.

You should be grateful for having such a good teacher. But guess what? Expecting to have only good teachers is an illusion. If you are already placing your condition for success in having only good teachers, it is never going to happen. If this is what prevents you from succeeding, save yourself several semesters and give up school. To succeed in school you need to do it in spite of bad teachers.

Why would anyone want to hire you if the phone and the computer can do those jobs better than you? Have you considered this? It is quite possible to have a PhD and have nobody willing to hire you. Haven't you encountered PhDs driving ubers and taxicabs? I have seen it many times. Having a diploma will not ensure that you will get hired. Ever heard of soft skills? Those make the difference in hiring a good employee.

I didn't say it was impossible. Just unlikely.

Nobody is going to hire you for what you know. You will get hired for what you can do. And if you are going into a STEM field you will get paid to solve problems. Not for showing off what you know. A negative sign or the wrong digit can cause a bridge to fall down, a patient to die for not having calculated properly the medication, or a company to loose a lot of money for not making the correct estimations of the market. Those are just some examples.
If and when you obtain a degree you will have to compete for a job with other candidates. Why would a company want to hire someone who hates solving the problems the company has? If the other candidate is willing to work the arithmetic and calculations, why they should prefer you over him/her?

And are you best at that than anybody else? Or is it possible that you could have competition?

I did read it indeed. You want someone to give you a magical solution. A suggestion for something you can do and get rich but on your terms. You are no willing to put in the work because you hate doing a lot of important things. And yes, my response is not useful to you. Nobody's response will be. I won't stop you from killing yourself. I don't even know you. I am trying to make you understand that your attitude towards life is your biggest problem but it is going in one ear and out the other. I won't spend my energies trying to make you understand.
You said you want to get into research? It is tedious work. More than 60% of my research work involved making sure the glassware was clean enough before the experiments and then I spent another big chunk of time cleaning up my bench and used glassware, write tedious reports, take lab safety training, label bottles, follow university bureaucracy, etc.
