A buddy of mine has never grown before and is getting spots on random leaves. They’re outdoors and planted in dirt with a high nitrogen content (completely decomposed animals from a farm mixed with dirt) and have been given a small amount of micronutrient fert about ten day ago

My thought was water droplets acting like a magnifying glass burned some spots. It doesn’t look like insect damage imo and they’re fine other than the spots

Any guesses?

It looks like a leaf spot fungus, probably either Septoria or bipolaris.

It’s fine bro. You can get it to keep vegging if you want or you can flower it out. No big deal.
I actually prefer taking cuts right when flower starts because you get “monster cropped clones” and they really fill up the jars fast…

We had a monsoon amount of rain a week or two ago and afterwards i saw some roots. I figured the rain caused erosion in the garden so I bought a couple bags of soil to cover them but the roots grew up through the new soil and are showing again. Should I care?

This plant had been a bit sickly compared to the other three with droopy and yellow leaves. I think i am having trouble giving it the right amount of water. I think it's just from being in a small pot. I propped it up off the blacktop in case that was cooking it.

Here is my big girl. It's finally starting to flower. Definitely appreciating growing from the earth rather than a pot.

One plant has a couple branches a couple weeks ahead of the rest. Smelling very tasty. So far bag seed is doing okay. Four for four are female and i do not see any hermaphrodite male parts yet. This is a lot more fun than tomatoes and peppers.

Not sure what to do here. Seems like my buds are drying up (and dying?) but the trichomes aren’t all “milky” yet. Dunno if it’s the crazy heat or a deficiency in the soil here. My first grow, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

its pushing out new growth if u look at the new growth it will always be clear  also some strains dont turn amber very easy. kinda hard to see whats happening with the rest of the bud as looks like just some leaves dying back. how long has it been in flower? sativas will flower over flowers. perhaps insect damage causing inside the bud to die or just bud rot.

I put the plant outside too early (back in May) which apparently caused it to flower too early, then revert to veg, before flowering this time. So it’s been difficult for me to tell exactly when this flowering phase started. I’m wondering if those original (early) flowers are dying off because they’ve been around too long, and the new flowers still have a way to go.

I have another plant next to this one which started flowering a few weeks ago. If this one re-flowered around the same time, it might still have a month or so left. Just hope to not lose too much bud before then, but I guess it may be unavoidable. Harvesting it now would be pointless, right? Too underdeveloped to be worth consuming?

Last night I took down a couple of the autoflowers that I started back in mid-June (Mango Smile, and Strawberry-Mango-Crumble), right around 75 days from the day the seeds sprouted. One plant was surely done, the Mangosmile I could have let go another few days though.

They turned out a lot better than I thought they would considering the relatively cool weather where I am and the plants only getting direct sun for about 7 hours a day at most (when it is sunny). I also didn't use anything to manage pests, no essential oils and no BT, nada. Didn't really have any major issues with pests, spotted 2 caterpillars about a month ago and each plant had one tiny spec of rot/mold on a single bud.

The flowers are smaller than when I grew the same strains last summer in a much warmer/dryer climate and with direct sunlight almost the entire day, but they are still quite resinous and so far look/smell like some quality flowers.

Considering how well they did, next summer I def plan on growing some more autoflowers outdoors...they seem very fitting for the climate I'm in, since the weather can turn quite cold/wet here towards late summer/early fall it is nice to have the plants finishing up by mid-sept at the very latest.

Happy to have my room smelling like fresh dank as they hang to dry. I went into this summer/grow season expecting to not grow anything so it's nice to have a lil bit of herb hanging up....I looove the smell of fresh herbs drying, such a pleasant funk.

I will post pics of em' one of these days lol.

Are hollow stalks/stems a thing that all autoflowers have? Every autoflower I've grown so far has a hollow main-stalk....I don't recall seeing hollow stalks on the photo-period strains I've grown.

Happy growing y'all.

Looking good I think. Is it ever too late to add top dressing? Just read about them but I don't know if it would help or hinder her at this point.
