Meowing cat

I have 2 cats, one being a female. She meows all the time and it’s a problem at night. She doesn’t really let me touch her either. She likes being gently pet for a brief moment and that’s about it. She’s been like this for awhile. I say that because I know she’s not hurt. She’s driving me crazy but I don’t want to get rid of her, but I can’t stand this shit for much longer

Is the cat really young? My cat was like this when he was really little. Real vocal little fella. Drove me insane for a while...but he chilled out a bit finally.

She just woke me up as a matter of fact. No she’s older, around 5.

What’s she meowing for? Is she looking for something or trying to get somewhere? What’s she do as she’s calling out?

I've never owned a cat but I've seen them around my neighbourhood and in other people's homes and they're almost always being fuckwits. I'd say this cat is just a bigger dickhead than you've seen before.

She wanders around my house meowing at night. It’s fucking annoying. I don’t want to hate her but that shit is making me angry.

Was she with a cat at any point in her life that’s no longer around?

No the cat she’s with is her brother who she’s always been with .

If she's doesn't need fixed then she's bored. Get more cat, pique her interest(toys, catnip, comfort things), get her fixed. Or maybe she just wants outside and she hates being a pet. Not all creatures are apt to being one. All my pets are so much happier being free. They can leave if they want to, but they don't. I know not everyone has that luxury though.

Yea I’m guessing it’s boredom. She isn’t very into going outside. She’s also fixed and she has another cat to pal around with. Gonna try buying something

Bring her to the vet just to make sure it's not health related, you never know, it could be something painful for her.

Catnip is a sedative when ingested. You can buy cat treats with catnip in them. That's what we do. If my one cat gets too riled up and starts bothering the other one for no reason those treats will chill him out. CBD treats I suppose may have the same effect. Or have kitty hang out while you smoke a fatty

I bought some treats that are infused with catnip that I will be trying tonight. I can’t take this shit much longer. I tried to ignore her with the thought that no response to her voice would make her shut up. Problem is she’s making the most noise at like 3am. Obviously I need to sleep and waking up to a howling cat is infuriating. I still tried to keep my cool and ignore her but she was fucking howling over n over again until I told her to shut up.
She’s not hurt. She likes to play with a wand toy and jumps around chasing the toy while showing no signs of pain.
If these treats don’t work, I’m thinking next I’m going to kick her out at night. I have a fenced backyard so i presume she’d be fine. It’s either that, lose my sanity because I’m not sleeping or completely get rid of her. I don’t like the prospect of having her be outside at night, n don’t want to get rid of her but I’m running out of options.

If you do put her outside, make sure she has some blankets or a cat bed. Make sure it's not cold or raining.

Yea I will. I have some catnip treats and a pheromone diffuser that should be at my door tonight that I hope will help her stop this nonsense. This really sucks that I’m even considering those measures. I hope she stops.

Op, your house is obviously the site of a grisly murder, and infested with ghosts that come out at night. Your sweet cat is simply trying to warn you before it's too late. You'll need some sort of priest or shaman to come cleanse the spiritual trauma.

A thought I just considered is another cat showing up and being weird outside your door or on your property at night.

Yeah was it mentioned if the cat is fixed? I have a cat that would go insane before we fixed her due to a male cat being outside the house.
