Second successful hunt of 2022. I found some werid sterile libs, yellow in colour,with no dark margin or spores. never seen these before so was a bit confused. Everything else apart from spores shouts libs though...

I assume they still have the same psilocybin content? Does anyone know?

Season seems to be on by me 50m coming up even along paths in forests, should be bare on the hills gonna check it out, the ones at a lower alt and in none sheep fields, just normal woodland and grassland seem different somehow they always and I mean always have an umbro, a flatter cap, a tiny teet and barely any spores.

Just want to know if it's possible to find them in South East England? Everyone seems to have great luck up north, but I'm stuck around Oxfordshire.

They grow all over England. Go out and check when conditions are favourable, you're bound to find some.

I good days hunting yesterday, just short of 500g of (fresh) Libs.

Most found above 240 meters and the rain made them extremely hard to spot.

For those who wonder whether to pick the small ones or to leave them to get bigger. In the case of these mushrooms small is better as they have a higher consentration of psilocybin. As soon as the cap is open thousands of spores are dropped. If you remember to use a net bag (I use the ones, you get at the supermarket Lidl or Aldi to put your veg in) you will be dropping spores wherever you walk.

I'm in the warrington area.

Does anyone have any advice on my first time trying to forage my own liberty caps? Was going to go today but not 100% sure where to look. I have been doing research but was hoping for some advice please

Hi, I'm new to this aswell so take into consideration but I found my first batch yesterday and they were quite high elevation in a valley on a field that had cows and sheep on it recently. You could tell because the grass wasn't very long and there was sheep and cow shit on it and i could see the cows on a nearby field. So I'd check all the cow fields in your area especially ones away from the city at higher elevation, apparently the council fungicide alot of the places they used to grow in towns and cities

This is my first season going out looking for liberty caps. I live in the south west of the uk (Bristol) to be precise. Does anyone know of any places or areas close by that are good for going out on the hunt for these beautiful little things from god
