what fx pedals do you use?
    #2788854 - 06/12/04 10:46 PM (19 years, 10 months ago)

I got my dod gs30 off this kid i knew who needed some cash, got it for $30, so it made me happy cause it was real cheap and at the time all i had was a crappy amp. I've got a marshall mg30dfx now which has a basic collection of built in effects.

What fx pedals do you use?

This is aje at vade's house.

My signal path goes, Vox v847 Wah > Danelectro Daddy O. > Danelectro mini flanger > Danelectro mini reverb and/or mini compressor > amp.

Yeah I know I have a lot of the crappy danelectro mini pedals.

I use my amp's overdrive channel with two separate gain's for other distortion.

Theres nothing like a nice old mutli fx pedal.

Digitech GNX1 to my Marshall AVT50. If I were to have the money to blow on 5-6 pedals I would have gotten the GNX3. You guys should sell those small pedals and get a nice multifx, cheaper and better .

I'm not really a fan of multiFX. You do get a lot for the money, but the sound is usually lacking. At least on the ones I've seen. They also seem somewhat poor, not as useable in my opinion.

look at digitech's GNX series, believe me, the sound is not lacking at all. Its effects are much better then others (besides the distortions, which usually you leave to your amp anyway). They are amazing pedals. Also, how much do single pedals cost each? Up to $100 for good ones, if you can spend your money on 5-6 of them, you can get a good multifx pedal for much much cheaper and better. How many artists do you see on stage with a bunch of different pedals around?

I have a Korg Toneworks multieffects, but I think I'm going to sell it and get a bunch of single pedals....I've realized they sound way better.

Don't laugh, Line 6 makes excellent stuff.

I've got a few of the Modeler stomps that they make, and they sound great. The DL4 (delay) I use quite a bit, and the FM4 (filter modeler) sounds Damn trippy.
Their distortion can compete as well.

But you can NEVER go wrong with Boss pedals. I've got a reverb/delay and Chromatic stage tuner from Boss. They are indestructible.

Saw Led Zeppelin playing live on VH1 classic with a GNX3, or something very similar to it. A good multiFX pedal is godlike, you just have to spend your money and spend it wisely.

I've heard some good things about line 6 too. Perhaps he was just trying to upsell me, as it was a bit pricier than my marshall. Got it at daddy's junky music, i know it's semi "coporate" and all, but do you guys like them?
