No wonder this place has more people in it than the other place.  You guys can just spout and nobody says a word.  Ya'll experts.

I prolly should sit on the couch over here and shut up but I have heard that 95% of people who sit on it end up with Monkeypox.

This is a plausible punishment for the war crime of rape.

That's like saying I expect the general contractors you hired to adhere to Osha guidelines

That's not how it works, there's a playbook for war, not everyone is going to follow the rules

Choices are refugee and resist, I'd try to refugee but if I couldn't I'd be forced to resist rather than do nothing and hide in country, cause innocents get killed too

I'd probably not be a very good soldier tho, I'm not agile and never shot a automatic weapon

I'd hope no troops come in my town

Not all resisting requires shooting a gun. I heard that hackers from all over the world are phucking with this invasion and its logistics.
We will never know.

In the days of the American Revolution, soldiers were somewhat expected to form straight lines, and the different rows would fire at eachother in rotations -- according to their laws of war. Hiding behind a tree was a guerilla tactic, formally speaking.

Now, you are expected to care for the bodily needs of your captives -- at least, until they stand trial or are used for bargaining chit.

You're not supposed to shoot the legs of Russian POW's or castrate someone, in no position to resist. (Though, he was immediately put out of his misery.)

Civilians are not supposed to be involved, and non-uniformed combatants are tried as criminals. Someone not fighting under a national banner, nor in a declared battle zone, would formally be regarded as a criminal.

Also, we normally regard secessionists as criminal, but not Ukraine, South Korea, nor Taiwan.

Keeping all that mind, is someone who legally belongs in a position of authority resisting a rapist?

This single act of castration is being propagandized and, in a way, it diminishes all the other violence occurring in the theater of war. Why did it need to be the centerpiece of your hypothetical question?

Because it'd be against the narrative if it was a inhumane act carried out by Ukraine forces maybe? There definitely is horrific acts being perpetuated by both sides of the conflict against each other, but only one side will ever make it to western media right now.

All history fails to exist as well. It's important that we remember to forget everything that lead to this conflict. The only thing that is important is what's on the news. Right?

I remember other wars. Every single one of them in my lifetime we were lied to by the media. I have no reason to suspect this is different.

Yeah it would be nice if people could tone it the fuck down.  It’s almost like sometimes I think maybe it’s not best for people to obey another person without question and go do fucked up things.  I don’t think I’m exceptionally intelligent but a lot of times I’m left wondering if people are actually thinking in that brain of theirs.  It gets bizarre..

Anyone who knows about war, fighting, hunting, and butchering would you tell it's dirty business.

But, there have been several nameable examples of provocation, over the past few administrations.
