I love Harvest Moon. My favorite is Harvest Moon Back to Nature on the PS1. I play it on my hacked Vita all the time. I have sunk so many hours into that game its crazy. I have never played any of the PS2 Harvest Moon games or very many of the newer ones. Do you have recommendations for other Harvest Moon games other than Back to Nature or Friends of Mineral Town on GBA?

I like text-based adventure games like 80 days or Steve Jackson's Sorcery.
Point-and-click games are chill too, but sometimes the puzzles can get hard.
Visual novels can be good too, Life is Strange, Telltale Games, Steins Gate.

Only played the demo, but it is decidedly not as chill as factorio. The combat system/wave defense is the focus of the game, and you need to keep up with the power creep.
Factorio, on the other hand, combat is not the focus of the game. Biters are not an existential threat unless you absolutely don't know what you're doing. They're really more of a small annoyance/roadblock for expansion. Heck, you could even play without them without losing anything from the game (well, vanilla, some mods require biters to be fun)
Factorio you can just zone out and build. You can leave it running 24/7 and just play whenever you happen to be near your computer.
That's how you end up with stuff like this. <-- warning, 20mb image

Another one my friend shared with me is Planet Zoo. Nothing more chill then creating a park for animals.

Have you tried Stardew Valley? It's basically a clone of harvest moon made by an indie game developer. It has much more content than any harvest moon game.
I played a ton of harvest moon on the ps1 back when I was a kid. I tried stardew valley and it's good but I got bored of it like I do most games. I need to give it another shot.

I played a bit of stardew valley...bit of harvest moon back in the day too. Definitely chill, but also have a hard time motivating myself to play because its so chill. Nothing to bring me back, no challenge.
Did they ever fix that one super depressing bug?

Play Harvest Moon Back to Nature on the PS1 if you're looking for a real laid back game.. It's an amazing game. Perfect if you have it on PSP or a CFW Vita. I put 100s of hours on that game on my hacked Vita.

A new game just came out called "Stray". You play as a stray cat just basically wandering around solving puzzles. I just got it and it's very chill and very fun. Made me think of this thread.
The game is very short and easy though. Basically like an interactive pixar movie. Probably not worth 30 dollars unless you really like cats. Maybe wait for a price drop.

Stray looks great.
I'm enjoying Stardew Valley and Spiritfarer when I want something chill.
I used to be hardcore into Sierra and LucasArts click adventures but haven't found anything modern to recapture that magic. I even have two or three half finished homebrew adventure games in that style, but my ADHD wont let me finish making them, probably never will.

I signed up for the new Playatation Plus Premium thing so I was able to download Stray. I haven't played it yet, but I'm planning on giving it a try soon.

Another one I've been playing is Vampire Survivors. I think it qualifies as a chill game because it's pretty casual arcade style fun. It's extremely addicting.
Here's a demo version of the game online. The full version is only 3 dollars on steam.
