The Art of Pressure Cooking ???
    #2790206 - 06/13/04 05:34 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

This isn't exactly related to fungi, but its part of the process
AFOAF doesn't know how to use a pressure cooker! Is a bit of water added, about halfway above the jars, and the PC placed above an open flame?

He doesn't have a manual for it, its an old AA from the mid 1900's.

put an inch or two of water.. But you dont want so much that itll boil over the jars.. They turn it on high when it gets to 15 psi put it on 2.. (2.5 is perfect for mine) this should keep it at a stead pressure for an hour or so..

Remember dont do this drunk.. My buddy made a stew in the middle of the night after drinkin...And the dumb ass fell asleep and the fuckin thing blew.. Stew everywhere, so he got the dog and went to bed with everything clean in the morning.. except the ceiling.. And his PC was preaty much fucked..

Do you have a PC with a guage?? Or a weight taht jiggles or a weight with a guage?
