Which gun, for the range and sharpshooting
    #27901761 - 08/13/22 08:54 AM (1 year, 5 months ago)

Hey shroomerites, I want to buy and customize my first rifle, I'm having trouble deciding from the AR-15 or the AR-10. Both can have the barrels altered to fit a larger caliber, but the ar-10 can go larger, if I want to buy it for mid to long range sharpshooting.

If you want accuracy further out than 5-600 yards go with AR-10 and get some good optics. In all reality, though, an AR-10 is not going to get you accuracy a whole lot farther out than an AR-15. Maybe 2-300 yards difference.

If you want sub MOA accuracy out beyond 1,000 yards pick a different kind of rifle. That kind of precision ain't gunna come cheap.

I have a Model 1 Ruger single shot breech load
6.5 Creedmoor for long range
It was about $1500 for the gun
I need to upgrade my scope
